Re: Thursday, November 28th, 2013
Happy Thanksgiving to all my QIAD friends. Just DH and me for dinner which we have later. We are having spiral ham since we eat turkey several times a year. I am going to lay down for an hour before I start the homemade yeast rolls and I watch the Lions football game.
I am so thankful for many things this year especially that my son got back safely from the Middle East again. I am so thankful for all our people that serve honorably in the military. I am also thankful that I am not going near the stores for the next two days. LOL
Prayers for all. Have a good day and enjoy your family time.

Good Evening. I came back to catch up on what everyone was doing today. The club house was full of people and oh so much food!!! Everything was soooooo tasty!!! I took mashed potatoes, and brought so much back home, can't believe the amount of food that was brought. Everyone was so generous in the amount they brought. Yeeks!! They had one whole 17 lb turkey that was accidently left back in the kitchen. Way more meat and potatoes than we needed. There were about 80 people signed up to attend.
I ate way too much, but oh it was so good!!! I have a small turkey breast to cook for DH and myself tomorrow, because we love the left over turkey sandwiches. Won't have to cook potatoes LOL.
We will be eating those potatoes for a couple of days. LOL
We had fun visiting with friends. It was very nice. Now, I am ready to just be lazy the rest of the day.

I have so much to be thankful for. But I'm here right now to tell you all that you and this forum are such a blessing to me and I'm so grateful for each of you. Together we have laughed, cried, prayed, lived, lost, loved and learned. I love y'all. OK I'm done being mushy. I hope you all had a great day. I'm tired and I ate too much but I do hear the pumpkin pie calling my name. Gotta have a piece before I go to bed. Ain't that healthy???? LOL
