Sunday, November 24
Good morning everyone.
Well, I just noticed that I thought November had the date 22 twice in the month. Oh well. I can blame it on the drugs from surgery. We had a wonderful visit with hubby's family yesterday. It is always fun when they get to telling family stories. Our neighbor was having friends over for dinner and they brought us dinner last night. It was wonderful. Today after I make some banana bread I am heading out to the studio. I need to get my Secret Santa stuff wrapped and finish the quilted piece I am making. So have a wonderful day.

favorite things as well as necessities.

Burrrrr my bones are cold this morning!
Kathy- Bring warm clothing when you come to Texas!! We are cold.
Izzy- Those little goats are the sweetest little things. Very cute.
Suz- Glad to see you are feeling good enough to get back to your sewing studio. Take it easy if need be.....
Becca- Which pattern were you using for the Quilts of Valor?
Plans today are to work on some hand sewing and then get the next quilt cut out. A quilt for my son that is in the Air Force. I picked up the fabric at the Houston Show.
Off to find my beloved Pecan coffee and fill the cup.
Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Good morning my beautiful quilty friends!
Nothing planned for today except to have a nice lazy day at home with DGS and DH! The plan was to sleep in this morning.....alas, I woke up at 4:45 a.m. and haven't gone back to bed. I was trying my hardest to get a leg cramp! Hopped out of bed to walk around and walk it off...success. Hope it doesn't come back. Those things HURT! LOL
I hope you all have a wonderful day. I am going back to bed for a little while. I'll check back later.
Love and Hugs,
Mel

Good Morning to ALL
This month is flying by!! We are just days away from Thanksgiving. Just can't believe how time flies.
Suzette: So glad you are doing so well =
Lois: You are healing up enough to be more independent and back to sewing and enjoying it.
Izzy: I love the baby pictures. How sweet that you made sweaters for them. How does it take to crochet it?
Sue: Have fun starting a new project!! Keep us posted with pictures. It is fun to follow the progress.
Yesterday I got #2 Table Runner blocks pieced and all the little bitty pieces ready for the applique. Today I will sew them in place and start putting the blocks and border on. Then I will be ready to begin on #3. Still have to purchase my batting and I plan to cut my pieces for the backing when we have our sewing day at the club house. When we are all together at the club house working on our projects, we have the big tables to spread out on. much easier to work with a large piece of fabric on those big banquet tables.
Can't wait to start on our Santa Face wall hanging that Lyn was so sweet to get set arranged for our group. It will really be fun to ALL be making the same project together. We are going to share fabrics from our stashes to cut the little 1 7/8" squares needed to put it all together. It is going to be so much fun!!!
Well, now, I have jabbered on and on. Better go get second cup of coffee and read some more messages on the other topics.
You all have some fun today. Hug your loved ones and be so very Thankful for them. I send a BIG HUG to you, too. I am Thankful for
ALL of YOU!!!!

Good morning!
SUZ - family and friends! Sounds like they all came through for you when you needed them. What a gift! Have a nice time in your studio today!
LOIS - what a nice day with your friend! Glad you able to have such a fun outing.
IZZY - I hope Peanut and Miracle take to each other! Your photos were darling! I've never seen a goat wearing a sweater before.
BECCA - a hug to your DGS! Any service member is a hero to me! And he's lucky to have such great DGPs!
SUE - What pattern are you using for your son's quilt? You might have said before, but that doesn't mean I'll remember! Are you all packed yet for your trip?
MEL - those leg cramps DO hurt! I never had them before I was pregnant. Ever since, if I stretch my leg to much in bed, OUCH! I hope you were able to ward yours off and go back to sleep.
VEL - love your table runner! Smart to wait until the big table day to cut the backings. And what fun to share Christmas fabrics to cut all the tiny pieces. What pattern are you using for the Santa?
I deep cleaned the living and dining room yesterday and today will be the kitchen and bathroom. I put a white ceramic cat on the floor at the end of the couch. Not quite as big as a full grown real cat. But Scottie saw it last night and barked at it for 15 mintues, growling and circling. Now this morning he's noticed it again and is doing the same thing. It doesn't even look real! But he's scared of it. The funny thing is I have big ceramic cats all over this house that do look real and he hasn't ever paid them any attention at all! Goofy dog.
Have a nice Sunday, everyone!

Re: Sunday, November 24
Good mornimg from the frozen tundra,,,,it is 14 out and there is frost on my windows...I was so tired from my adventures yesterday that I don't remember going to bed.....I was sewing in the chair(hexxie) and next thing I knew it was morning and the phone was ringing,,,,My sis is coming over for a couple of hours to sew and visit while Ken and her DH go to pick up a furnace for their barn. DBIL has workshop in his barn (He doesn't use it much since the stroke, but he thinks he does...his memory is very bad now but Ken humors him and helps him when ever he can) So My quiet day just turned into another adventure,,,,because I bet my sis wants to make a Joann run too. I do need to go to Bed bath and Beyond which is right next door to joanns. So it will be fun....Just waiting for them to come and we will head to the diner on the corner for breakfast. $3.75,,,,a good one too.
I hope to sew today too....
ALSO Thank you to Lois I got a batch of BC Blockes yesterday. But opened them this morning,,,Ken says "Hey Miss Poppularity" you got another gift....I think he might get jealous..LOL. The blocks are beautiful and I will get back to the quilts as soon as I finish one more Christmas gift and stay home....Next week for sure. In the mean time have a great day love to all XXXOOO
