Good Morning,,,,I honestly was up before 7...so I got the dry mopping done,,,laundry done,,,(not put away, one load in the dryer) I got the crockpot going with Chili soup and the dishes done.....had my coffee and fed the cat...wow I think I need to go back to bed,....Ken is still sleeping,,,,I think he stayed up and watched a movie late last night,,,I don't remeber him coming to bed...but he is snoring away and it is after 9 here,,,So now the fall cleaning is done and I need to get my Christmas shopping done....10 more gifts to buy,,,I am a bit ahead of schedule so guess I will sew the day away....I have a few (LOL) projects that need to be finished....And yesterday while the Red Wings lost another game(yikes) I sewed the last hexxie on my quilt and am now ready to applique and sew on the borders.

Shopping with my sis and lunch was fun....I bought some backing for the DGS quilt and a few pieces of Christmas fabric that caught my eye...will probably make Christmas pillowcases for the little ones...might get the bigger kids new one's made too. So it is a busy life here,,,,but I wouldn't have it any ther way. Hope you all have a great day,,,,,XXXOOO It is suposed to go up to 60 tomorrow.....another yikes.....

Good Morning Girls

YIPPPEE It's Saturday! Kind of cloudy and ugly outside, but it will be a great day to stay in and sew ALL DAY! That's the plan anyway. Was going to allow myself to sleep in a bit, but woke right up at 7:30 and decided to stay up, grab some coffee and come and chat for a bit. Will need to do a quick clean up on few things this morning, but after that... I'll be in my sewing room!

Lois... Good news... you get to stay home through the holidays! How does it feel sewing with an "air cast"?

Vicky... BRAVO the binding is done. I don't do much hand sewing, but I do enjoy stitching down the binding by hand. That quilt is a masterpiece and I know your church family will love seeing it hanging tomorrow for your worship service.

Velda... saw the picture of the ladies on FB... what a fun group that must be. Do you go out on regular basis? Is this the group that does crafty stuff together?

Jules.... It is always good to see you here. Believe me... you are not odd! Been there done that! I used to wonder if what I was feeling was me and or just hormones talking! Isn't it fun to watch someone get into the joy of sewing!

Maryz... sounds like a busy day at your house! Good thing you are keeping Bill busy with all those projects--keeps him out of trouble yes?

Becca.... what are you going to do with all those strips!? Which reminds me, I need to go through my box of Christmas strips to make DGS Nolan a new Christmas stocking this year. When he was born I made him a small one that matched his quilt, but now that he's 2 he needs a bigger one that Santa can fill!

Izzy... my room mate has all the Twilight movies.. haven't seen the last one yet, maybe that's what I'll watch whilst sewing today. Have you ever seen "Water for Elephants"? with "Edward" That was a pretty good movie too. My TV in the sewing room is old and doesn't get TV, I only use it to watch movies!

Kathy.... I was in 7th Grade on 11-22-63 and remember that day very well. Came home to see my Mom in front of the TV crying.. it was her 40th birthday that day, and she was in the middle of having a miscarriage that day---which nobody ever knew until many years later. Still so many theories about that day. Is Kim wanting to go back to work. Isn't it just awful when your kids call in tears and they are so far away that you can't reach out and hug them and tell them every thing is going to be okay! Breaks my heart!

Judi... If I give you my shopping list, would you do mine for me too? I haven't even STARTED! It would be so much easier if I knew WHAT to get for everybody! I started making a list for each kids and Grand kid, but it's still blank! Pillow cases would be a great idea! tho I don't think that would thrill a 9 year old little boy! Enjoy your beautiful November weather...If you get what we get...you'll have rain soon!

Suzette... good idea to get all those uglies done before next week! When you get home you can concentrate on getting better! You will most definitely be in my prayers that day!

Well, girls, If I am ever going to get down to the sewing room today, I better get dressed-throw on the work clothes, tidy up a little upstairs and then get to it. I told my room mate that I would be sewing early this morning--she sleeps til noon- so if I make noise sewing--too bad! She bought some crafty things at Joann to make her folks some thing for Christmas so I'm going to try and clear off a space for her to do that.... we'll see how much I get done today!

Hope you all have a most wonderful day and may you be covered in thread by the end of it! God Bless you all

Good morning. Long time no chat. I do come by and read, but just haven't had time to write.

Suzette, I love the new fabric line by Andover.

Lois, at least you get to relax and enjoy the holidays.

Judi, I'm exhausted after reading your post. lol

Hopefully I'll get some sewing time in today. We got back from Illinois last Saturday and after working all week I'm just starting to catch up to normal again. My employer discontinued our insurance, so I've been trying to pick the right one for us. What a nightmare. We will have to change doctors and drive 10 miles to the hospital when we have one that's 1.5 miles from us. I'm very disgusted with the whole thing, but at least we're covered.

Hope everyone one gets to sew today.

Good afternoon all! Just a quick stop in. It is a "crappy" day here in NW Ohio so I think I will just stay in and do some sewing. Sounds like everyone is busy getting projects done.

Glad it seems like a lot of our prayers are working for those who need them.

Well, need to go and give my furbaby Pepper her daily IV then get some lunch. Will work on sewing while watching the NASCAR Nationwide race. Sam is only 8 points behind the leader so it will be a race down to the wire. This race will decide the Championship winner.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Happy Saturday Quilting Buddies!
I went up to help Victoria yesterday afternoon, and what she had me do was hold Harley for about 3 hours while she and Rich took a nap. I was dragging my tail all day yesterday, but that time spent holding a sleeping baby was very restful and therapeutic!

Good afternoon!

I have been running all morning - we went over to the Church and got the Ward Bulletin done for tomorrow and now I am just waiting for Matt to call - then we will go to Lowe's with them to get the new refrig. Later tonight we will be at their house for Tanner's birthday party - he turns 3 on Monday - so we will have cake and ice cream with the family tonight.

It has been snowing all night and all morning - but the ground is still warm enough that it is not sticking - just cold!

I have my shopping list for the LQS when we go out in a few minutes.

DH worked and finally got all of FIL's finances in order. FIL is barely squeaking by on what he gets to pay for himself - looks like our help won't be needed until January. His daughter taking care of him in CA went through most of his money - what she spent on herself was nearly 4 months of care here, in just one year - one year is all the records that we have - but that is now water under the bridge and I must behave myself!

So I am off to doing some sewing and quilting - found a project that Sarah and I started about 6 years ago - the top is almost finished - just need to blanket stitch the leaves in place and then it can be quilted. It is from one of the Art to Heart Books - Christmas -

Have a great day and I hope that you are warmer than me!
Hugs
