SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Nov 13th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Nov 13, 2013 2:56 am

Brrrr..... Baby, it's cold outside! Here, not so much, must mid-40's. But all y'all sound like you're shivering!!

IRISH - JOANN's prints such great sounding coupons for 40%, 50% and even 60%. Then you get there and find that the items you want are already on for only 10% or 20% off and your coupon is no good! I always end up bringing most of my coupons home. But now we have a bridge toll to pay to get to Tacoma so between that and the gas, it costs me $8 just to drive in to Joann's and back. I've learned to check on-line first to see what's on sale!

BECCA - thanks for the recipe. I printed it off. bought the ingredients, and I'm ready to bake!

I made the mexican casserole last night and it was good, but I put in too much broth, so it was a little goopy. Today the leftovers should be better.

How's your supper plan coming along?

Good morning Maryz and all who check in later.

Yes, brrr baby, it's cold outside. It's 45 degrees here, but with wind and humidity feels more like 38. No going out in the boat today. Plus it's sew/quilt day at the club house. I think I will take some fabric up to cut for a quilt I want to do.

I have the fixin's for a chicken salad, but Beef Barley Soup sure sounds good. I made the recipe for the first time a week ago and DH and I both really liked it. Decisions, decisions??

Good Morning & a cold one 19 here.Tonite is supposed to be the same. And then warm up to 60's.What a wild swing in temps. But we do have sun & that helps.

LYN Soup is my favorite. But did not make any today.

MARYz Hope your cheesecake is good.

I made cranberry salad yesterday. It is one of my favories at TG & Christmas.Since they are doing all the cooking I made mine early to enjoy.Had some for breakfast.

We still have roast beef, green beans,& potatos so that wil be the meal today.

Did all my cleaning this morn. so now it is sew time....Becca

Good morning!

Yesterday was my Activity day girls - so we finally got my chicken! So there is plenty for tonight's dinner as well - I will bake some potatoes to go with it and a salad. I do extra potatoes and save them for Michael's breakfast - he likes them cut up and fried for hashbrowns.

Started my shopping list for TG dinner.

The kids house is still hanging up in the air on whether it will close the day before Thanksgiving or not - the funding is all in place - just need the builder to get done!

Enjoy,
Jana

Good very late afternoon from semi sunny, but cold, SW. Pa...Yep, it's still cold and not warming up until the weekend......

Mary, I do get a little disgusted with their coupon system...While standing in line yesterday, I asked the gal behind me if she could use some coupons and she was delighted.....

I just got home from a day out with my sister and DDIL, Cindy...One thing for sure, there is never a lack of laughs when we 3 are together.....Of course after we shopped we had to stop for lunch.....

And even though I won't be hungry, I am going to make spaghetti and meat balls for Jim...I've kind of neglected him this week and he hasn't complained but I do think I'd better cook....And for his afters, I got a loaf of banana/nut bread out of the freezer......

Happy eating...........
