Good morning quilty friends.

Sure have missed you all. I've been lurking daily, when I get a chance at work. The blasted system at work is sooooo slow, it is nearly impossible to get the page loaded, much less try to post anything!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. We took DGS, his daddy, his friend Maleah, and her mommy to the pumpkin patch yesterday. A good time was had by all. Time sure does fly. We started taking DGS to this pumpkin patch when he was two yrs old. They have a growth chart on the wall of the barn that has a stack of different types of pumpkins on it which says "How Tall This Fall". I have taken his picture every year. It is fun to look at them side by side and see how much he has grown every year. The hay ride was lots of fun. We even saw "Big Foot" peeking out of the corn stalks when we went by!

I will be finishing up DGS's costume hopefully tomorrow. He decided that he would spend the weekend with his daddy this time....he wants to go to church with him. DS has been going the past couple of weeks, so I am all for it! Sad that I don't have my little guy here, but I guess I will survive.

Tina, is that baby here yet? Hope things are progressing.

Well, it is almost 2 a.m., so I guess I better get to bed. I also want to make a batch of soap tomorrow (well, today really! LOL)

Hugs and prayers,
Mel

Good morning Mel and those that follow.
The wind seems to have finally dies down. Since the temps went down it has been windy for the past several days. I finished the breast cancer quilt yesterday and will be sewing down binding today. I have a couple more projects I would like to cut the fabric for as well. Including my Secret Santa gift. Well, I am going to drink my coffee and see what the day brings.
Mel - I loved taking my son to the Pumpkin Patch when he was little. I don't know who was more excited him or me.

Today will bring what it does. Might run over to see the kids...we see Sophia becuase she is home most days but the boys being in school all day we don't see them as much. missing them.

I am sewing a lot besides the BC quilts I am doing the kids quilts and a BC quilt for my Sis's DDIL...she will find out the plan for her on friday,,,,had a Pet scam this week,,,to see if she has any cancer in the other breast, Prayers for her....

Good Rainy Morning!

MEL - so good to "see" you! I miss your daily posts. The pumpkin patch outing sounds so fun! What is your DGS going to be for Halloween? and how fun to get to make the costume!

LOIS - sorry you can't go to the shower. But you are certainly making a hurculean effort to get the gift finished! glad you found your sewing steam.

SUZETTE - Happy sewing today. You are getting so much done! Be careful or you'll have all the things you've cut to sew during your convelesence all sewed up!

TINA - any baby news?? I think I guessed Nov 2nd, so hope she can hold out!

JUDI - Seems everyone was just in the 80s and here you are with frost on your pumpkins! You've had a lot on your plate. Do you have deer you could employ to take care of the garden? Most of our leaves are down, too. DH will blow them off the parking pad but he won't touch the ones that fall into the flower beds as flower beds don't come under the heading of "Yard Chores Bill Is Willing To Do". lol! so they will be mulch and I'll most like clean them next spring. Something for me to look forward to.

We are going to finally finish up DD#1's Christmas quilt this morning. Yay! It's 75% quilted and we need to get it done today so we can deliver it when we go there for dinner tonite. I will sew the binding and label on by machine and hope I'm not in such a hurry that I forget pictures.

In between other things today, I'll also be working on my Hawaiian tesselating star. You'll probably be reading that statement every morning for weeks to come. What a headache THAT project is! Fun, but tedious and time-consuming. But I'm too far into it now to quit. And it's the perfect use for my box of Hawaiian scraps and the perfect gift for my friend.

May your bobbin always be full!

good morning.. it's going to be another busy day today.

I need to grocery shop a little for grandma, Mar has her school fall festival and before that I need to hem a costume...costumes are amazing, either too tight and short or way way too long...

O'Dorothy, can you buy bottled water or is it already bought up? wish I could send you some..glad Kathy is coming.. it is really good to be you...

Mel.. so big foot lives in Washington....how cool to see a growth chart for your DGS... it's a neat way to do things.

Suzette, glad you got the quilt ready to bind... she will really appreciate it.

Lois.. is it a diaper bag? can't wait to see it.

Judi, your Sophia quilt is just gorgeous..

Maryz.. your Hawaii quilt will be beautiful..wish we had rain... it's the end of October and we don't even have wind yet..

well, if I don't go hem that costume it won't hem its self.. dang it...

you all have a superb day.

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick fly thru today.....we made it home last night the furr babies were so HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to see us took for ever to get the calmed down that is the longest we've been away from them!
Enjoy our little trip but got very tired, couldn't do any shopping or fun things but had a nice visit with my sister and stopped by my brothers for maybe 30 min. I wanted to an had planned on stopping at Chickie's place but just wasn't feeling to good.
Go back to the Dr. Tues for Post Op visit get results of pathology report & get my stitches out, the incision in my arm pit is the sorest, maybe its supposed to be that way hope I didn't do something I wasn't suppose to do.

Izzy.....when I said in the "hills" we were not in KS we were way back in the boon docks of MO my cell wouldn't work my sis had given up her internet connection then when we did get to Branson tried the motel it wasn't to hot either so just gave up.

Probably take me a few days to get caught up with every one I missed not being able to read what was happening.

Thanks again for all the prayers/positive thoughts the lovely quilt I use it all the time! :)

Have a great day

Good morning :o)
Holly is sooooooooooo tired and uncomfortable. She says she has a lot of pressure but not really anything else. She walk about 30 minutes at a time and her feet are so swollen they hurt her something awful she says even her fingers are hurting because they are so swollen. She's coming over today to do lesson plans and be here for awhile. :o)
I am exhausted from waiting I guess, well it didn't help going to the auction yesterday and walking and standing around....made my back hurt really bad, then we made a trip to Cruces and visited DS for awhile :o)
I'm hoping to make a few more Pink Blocks today :o)
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Greetings, all!

Mel - the pumpkin farm sounds like it was a blast. How fun to compare pictures to see how much he's grown. Have fun making your soap today.

Lois - I'll have to go back and read what kind of bag you're making.

Suzette - I know your work guy's daughter will cherish the quilt you're making for her.

Judi - thanks for the info on how to take care of perennial gardens. We've got tons of pine mulch - DH had six trees cut down to make way for the new outbuilding and they chipped them up quite nicely. How wonderful of you to make all those BC quilts. Have a great time visiting the DGC. I would be unable to say a prayer for your wings - my DH would site that as grounds for divorce. Hope they play better next time.

Maryz - yay that you're back! I'll have to go see if there are any pictures of Scottie-boy on his first big outing. I can't even say, much less spell tessalting star. Your DH sounds just like mine insofar as yard work separation goes.

Chriss - how nice of you to sew on those costumes. Hope you find time to relax a wee bit today.

ScrappyPat - you have been busy since your surgery! I'm sure all will go well at the doctors. Glad you're home!

Tina - I sure hope Holly has that baby soon for everyone's sake.

Izzy - sorry to hear about the sick goats - sure hope they all get sorted out.

We're back from Alamosa - didn't sleep well last night because the coyotes had made a kill and the noises are just awful. There's some crap going on with my two step-daughters - seems they're unhappy with us giving Aaron (ds2) the van that had been totaled. They both have married well and have everything they need and then some. I'm trying not to be bitter. My left eye is twitching like mad - I'm sure it's because of the stress. Blah.... Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!! xoxo Sharona
