Just a quick drop by. I got 2 go 2 Las Vegas last week. Our daughter got marry. Lovely wedding. Did have ankles bigger than normal. Didn't get 2 see everything so I guess I'll have 2 go back with better shoes and see what I missed.
I called my sister 2 wish her a happy birthday. We she didn't anwer her phone. I'm asking 4 prays for Rhonda. I believe in the power of pray and the power this forum has. Well she has a ear infection for two weeks. She can't hear. Her ear drum is fine. She has perfect hearing. My Mother side has a loss of hearing. I loss some of my hearing because I had a high fever and I loss some of my hearing.
I have 2 weeks of reading 2 get catch up on everyone here. I feel all your prays even it I ask for help. The Lord knows each of us and all we need all we need 2 ask.

Much Love and friendship,
Katherine

Good morning all.

Hope everyone is doing well. Jules, gosh I sure hope you get over your cold soon. Poor thing, you have been sick for a while. I am the peacemaker in our family, too. I even play that role at work. It can be very tiring and stressful. Hope you are able to relax and decompress a little today.

Our guild meeting was wonderful last night. One of the ladies who went on our quilt retreat was our speaker. She is a "domestic diva" as she calls herself! LOL She quilts all of her quilts on her domestic machine. I have never seen such works of art. It is just unbelievable what she can do. She doesn't even have a fancy sewing machine. I would love to take some personal lessons with her, but she works full time and she teaches a couple of weekends a month at the LQS that I am not so fond of....well, I like the LQS and the employees, it is the owner who is a problem. Anyway, I might just break down and take her class the next time it is offered. Wish I had taken my camera last night so that I could show you all what I am talking about. She does a "trapunto" type quilting, too...it is just exquisite.

Well, I am at work so I better get back to it. I hope you all have a wonderful day and get to do something fun!

Hugs and prayers for all,

Mel

Well ladies - after three interruptions from DH (couldn't get the sprinkler system on/couldn't find a flashlight/couldn't find papers to register the truck), I'm afraid all my time is gone and I'll have to scoot. Prayers for all and lots of e-hugs as well. xoxo Sharona

We made it to Ransom Rd RV Park yesterday, about 5:30 p.m. Nice to get parked. DH did a great job and got the Motorhome backed in perfect the first time. After we got the slides out and all hooked up, we had drinks with our friends. DH has been fighting off a cold on the way down and is not feeling good this morning. Hope he keeps it to himself! I don't want to be sick next week when DSIL and DBIL are here.

I put my last 'flood' update on over in Chit Chat. Glad that is behind us.

Cindyg - I, too, am looking forward to next week. I have to go reserve a car today.

Will have more time now to read posts and get caught up on all the happening here.

Karlene I loved the funny:)) cute

At work just had a parent meeting that lasted hour and half and really got nothing accomplished. I did come back to my room and count how many days I have until retirement. 130. Yup thats it. Every time I have one of these meetings makes me realize I am done. Poke me with fork, roll me over and just done.

Maryq congrats on raise. I avoid my superiors just cause when I see them they just add more to my plate LOL. Our annual review is if our kids make progress. Yes you have job next year. NO your fired. Its getting harder to get some of these students to show progress. In the day the parents were very much involved. Now your lucky to meet them.

I have 75 kids on my caseload and out of them I saw about 1/4 of them last year at their kids meetings. Maybe 1/2 actually responded to any note sent home. The rest well I guess there are parents for them who knows. So jules I can relate when your DD comes home and vents. Your a grt mom to just listen cause your right we dont want feedback we just need to vent cause we had good parents:)Men always think they can fix it even when its not really broken LOL

I am hoping go sew some tonight. Havent made it into sewing room since Sunday:( so sad. I have fabrics pulled for my blocks and plan to get them done tonight. I downloaded all vacation pics. Will try to post some for ya:) and post my wall of blocks for SBS:)

Well better get back to work. Post it in front of me with big 130 to mark down days:))))

God bless and Happy thoughts
Izzy

Good early afternoon from semi sunny, but cold, SW. Pa...So far I haven't seen any of the white stuff but that's a good thing.....We are supposed to warm up just a tad, thank goodness....

Jim has gone to help with the elderly bingo, the furbabies are all sleeping and the house is so nice and quiet...I normally do my running today but staying home, but I am going to a card party this evening...I think instead of getting into a cleaning project this afternoon, I'm going to play with some strips...I'm making a bunch of pot holders or hot pots to go along with the toppers for our card party.....I could probably spent a month straight working on them and never run out of strips.....

Suzette, you really are whipping through that quilt aren't you? As Cindy posted, I also remember when you checked in a couple days ahead of surgery for testing etc. Seems like just yesterday, lol....Just know, we'll all be right with you, sending many, many prayers....

Well, I need another cup of tea and then head for my sewing room....I need to take advantage of the quiet....Cleaning can wait till another day.......

You all have a great day...............

Good afternoon!

Took a ride this morning up Butterfield Canyon, right near my house to go "leaf peeping"! They were beautiful! We were up and running early this morning - got the bacon and sausage that Sarah had ordered from the truck in the park! Dropped it off at her house and Ethan didn't want to come home - he wanted a ride! So up the canyon we went, then just as we got near home - he fell asleep for his nap - that is where he is now.

I am babysitting the other grands this evening for a short time, so I am busy!

Watched the World Series with the kids last night - DSIL is writing code for a APP that you play while the game or other sporting events are on - it is through the company that he works for - so I was the "guinea pig" for him. I placed 21st last night with all the others playing across the country - not too bad - for not knowing what I was doing. You can win prizes and such, but since I am a relative, I think that I get disqualified, oh well! LOL

Hopefully I get to sew - my neighbor around the corner asked me to make her little boy a pillow sham to go on his big boy bed - out of a Sock Monkey crib sheet. Should not take me long - not like that dratted wedding gown!

Lots of prayers and hugs!
