Good Morning......

We're dancing with freezing too....it's 34'. Rain & chilly today. That will not stop me I'm off to the PO again today. I promised the Grands some fall colored leaves. Other than that I'm working on SonIL's quilt. A very quite day. LOL...even Boston Public Radio is talking about nothing but the Red Sox. I can't get away from sports.

Lois....enjoy your day. I'm sure the Dr will lit you put more pressure each time you visit. That how it was with me & DD2

Mary/Rosebud.....Have a smooth & fast work day. Will there be sewing tonight?

Carole....sorry your sleepless. Maybe you can find a little nap time later. Have a wonderful time at quilt camp. I've always loved going away to quilt camps. Sounds like a fun game with your dog.

Velda....how nice the flurries stayed away from you. Just a tease to make you very happy to be going south. Have a wonderful lunch.

Sherry.....I set my alarm every day. When I 1st stopped working I woke up at 5:45 every morning. Slowly I started waking later & later. Now I set the alarm. Happy sewing...

Tess....I can't wait to see some of these Sylvia quilts. It's such a beautiful quilt.

Judi....OMG...my little house has 6 windows & 2 storm doors. It's a big change from 20 windows. This house could use 2 more windows on the south side in my bedroom & sewing room. Good for you going back to the gym. I need to find something it's too easy to skip walking around & around the the basement.

Suzette.....the info you posted was helpful & things we all need to do.

Chris....Oh I just dread car issues. The Subaru is a good car. My steering wheel is starting to vibrate & there is a squeak somewhere. It doesn't sound like a sob story.

Chrissy.....What happy news about Myles. Saying prayers for approval from Medicare.

Off to dress & visit the PO.

Love & Prayers to all......Kathy

Lois - this month has passed quickly for you so I guess you have found plenty to keep yourself occupied while you wait for healing.

Rosebud - I hope your workday flies by.

Carole - your excitement about the quilt camp is what woke you up. At least you went to sleep. The night before the quilt show here I can't fall asleep to save my soul. Too excited. Love your dog story. Dogs sure have a way of making us feel loved, don't they?

Velda - we were actually in the upper 40's last night. It's barely 50* now. A tad cooler than normal for this time of year but I'm sure loving it. The thing I don't get is why in the world did God make Ragweed? Enjoy lunch with your girlfriend.

Sherry - oh, gosh, how I despise my alarm clock. That's why when I hit the snooze button I hit it really hard. LOL

Tess - are there pictures of the Sylvia quilt blocks somewhere? I need to go look.

Judi - WOW 6 weeks already. Time flies. Your BOM class sounds great. Wouldn't it be fun and informative for all of us to get together for a week-long quilting retreat. I think we could all teach each other something and we'd learn a lot, too.

Suz - nothing going on is sometimes a very good thing. Enjoy your sewing time.

Chriss - really Chriss, I'd appreciate it if you stop with the mumbling and grumbling. You do have a lot to be thankful for so zip it. LOL LOL I hope you know I'm teasing you. This is the time of year when everything seems to get hectic. The good news is that you are headed for a new car. So what are you getting - a car, SUV, mini-van?

I have great news - there was no poop to clean off the kitchen floor when I got home from work yesterday - YEA!!! Goodness, I'll never change dog food again. I'm working on finishing up my year end stuff here at work and then next week I have a payroll to do and the exec paychecks to get out as well as the fellows who are going back home to Mexico. They come to our company as seasonal workers with a work permit but they can only stay here about 8 months then they have to go back home. My boss has to pay the gov't. half a fortune to be in the work program but it's necessary. The Mexicans are the only people who will do the work - it's so hot here in the summer and they are accustom to it so it doesn't bother them. Anyway, I'm trying to get all done with everything so I can enjoy myself at the quilt show.....as if there's a chance I won't. LOL Anyway, last night I fixed a dinner that took me 1 hour and 15 minutes - grrrrrr. Then I did a load of laundry and I worked on my hand applique. I was tired when I went to bed but my allergies kicked in and I was on a sneezing and blowing jag and thought I never would get to sleep. I need Benadryl this morning, too. I finally got my 221 Featherweight machine put up and that banquet table all cleared off and I was ready to put my living room back together....but now DH is using that table in the living room to put together the Featherweight that he took apart to paint red. It's going to be gorgeous when he's done. I'm blabbering, arent't I?

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Afternoon girls :)

Lois – happy sewing and rest time today, hope the DR gives you good news next week x

Mary/rose – have a good day at work :)

Carole – sorry you couldn’t sleep but have a lovely time at quilt camp....i’d love to go to a quilt camp....your story with Luke reminds me of my 2 dogs, when Charley was little I used to shut the dogs in their room when I went to collect Charley from school and when we got home she would run and hide before I let the dogs out, and i would say to them, where’s charley, find charley....and they would search the whole house until they found her, they loved it, but they really missed her when she went away with the school, everytime I came in and let them out they would go looking for charley and be sad that she wasn’t there

Velda – hope you don’t get any snow and have a lovely lunch with your friend – and cleaning, well it never ends :(

Sherry – hope the blood tests go well for Pepper, I hate waking up to the alarm too

Tess – the weather has been really weird this year, we have torrential downpours, like a monsoon and then the next day its bright and sunny.....just hoping we don’t have a bad winter

Grammie – your bobbin work sounds fab, can’t wait to see pictures :)

Suze – gload the cancer class was good and informative, have a lovely day out in your studio x

Chriss – ooh a new car, how exciting......i feel like time is running away with me.....think i need to start writing lists to keep me on track, have done a few bits for my SS so I’m not worrying about that, but I have a girls baby quilt to make by middle of November and cushions to make for Christmas presents and have to help charley move at the weekend....but like you say i have blessings i can count xx

Chrissy – glad Myles is home and prayers for the medication issues x

Well I’ve woken up full of cold today, sneezing, blowing my nose, weepy eyes and just feel rough :( hopefully it’ll clear up byu the weekend, Charley is officially moving into her house this weekend, so i want to be well to help her and then once she’s gone i can give her bedroom a good clean and move the spare bed in there as we’re going to have a bit of a move round upstairs, plus at the moment we have bags and boxes piled up everywhere of things charley is taking with her so cleaning has fallen far behind.......just call me mrs mop next week LOL

Good morning :o)
Lois, hopefully soon you'll be dancing :o)
MaryR, how's your back feeling?
Carole, Duncan and Jazmyne play Hide and Seek like that, it's too funny! :o)
Velda, MaryR lives close up there close to the Colorado border where she gets Brrrrrrrr cold, I live 30 miles from the Mexico border and we get in the negatives every now and then.....we just don't get a lot of snow.....it's a dry cold. The desert is a funny thing when it comes to cold, even our Summer the temps drop at least 40* from day to night.
Sherry, I don't like setting my alarm either....but since I've been going to PT seems like setting the alarm is a daily thing :o( I will be so glad when I am done with this and back to normal :o)
Tess, stay warm amd dry. I love following that thread :o)
GrammieQ, I would think I'd gom up my machine trying that.....wonder if there's a youtube that shows it?
Suzette, thanks for posting that yesterday :o) and have fun in your studio :o)
Chriss, good luck with a new vehicle :o) we're gonna be looking soon I'm afraid, we have 213K on our Suburban. 9 weeks exactly till Christmas!
Chrissy, glad Myles is back home, praying he gets the medicine he needs.
Kathy, you're a cool Grandma, mailing Fall leaves :o) I wish I would've thought to ask my Grandma when the kids did that project in school :o)
Cindyg, so happy your doggie is better! I never change dog foods except from puppy chow to the adult and then when they get old I might change to a senior but only ever had to do that with 1 of my dogs.....she was obese and the Vet said I had to. Migrant workers are what gets the chili, cabbage and onion crops around here picked but they usually go home at the end of the day, it's just over 1/2 hour drive from here :o)
Jules, I hope you're better by the weekend too :o) how exciting for Charley to get a place! Mrs Mop LOL funny :o)
Well I had plans when I woke up and thoughts of what I needed to do and now I can't remember what they were so I better eat breakfast to get my brain moving again. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
Tina

QIAD GIRLS WHAT DAY IS IT::::: HUMP DAY!!!!

OH YEAH:)) Two more to go for this week. Lots of you are very busy busy I see. Windows Uh nope. I hate to do windows. On farm they are last on list:)

Got 16 goats hooves done. Charlie was in full rut so when we finished off to the shower I went smelled something aweful. If your on farm you will understand that smell. If your DH hunt and use deer urine its a pretty good comparison LOL. but all are done for the year until spring time:)

Just finished lunch and a phone conf with parent. Now off to last school for the day and to supervise asst and do more paperwork:) Fun fun.

When we flew into Texas couple years ago when you all had that massive heat wave and no rain for months. Shew I can see why noone can tolerate working in it:) YUK:)

Winter is coming they are calling for snow flurries here thanks up north:))) Gonna do my snow day dance thursday night for a 3 day weekend LOL

Dont you all just laugh at all the things people are blaming on the govt shut down:)) I have decided due to the shut down its made it really hard for me to get up and go to work knowing my govt got a month off and I didnt LOL.

Well you all have a great day sewing. I gotta get back to work:(

Redtop--cant wait to see whats up for next week:)

God bless and happy thoughts

Good morning all. As usual, not much going on around these parts. It has been so foggy the last few mornings. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day, hope today does, as well.

Have my guild meeting tonight. Didn't go last month, so I guess I better go tonight. Sure does make for a long day, though. Won't get home until after 9 or 10 p.m.

Need to finish up DGS's halloween costume this weekend. He wants to be a purple evil minion (from the movie, Despicible Me). Of course, can't find any costumes for this in the stores so I went online and found pics of homemade ones. Hopefully, it will turn out like I have pictured in my mind.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs and prayers,
Mel

Good early afternoon from cold, rainy, dreary, drab, yucky, SW. Pa...Not a pleasant day for anyone being outside...

This being "Hump Day" there was a funny cartoon in our paper this morning....It shows an office gal holding a baseball bat, standing over a knocked out camel and saying, "Anyone else want to know what day it is"?????

I need to be quick today, so many things to get accomplished and as always running out of time....I decided, this was the day to re-do the dining room...Down come the frilly lace and up go the heavy winter drapes...I much prefer the lace! I also want to do some cleaning upstairs and intend to make a new curtain for a small window in the hall....I finished the 2nd table topper for the card party and then got thinking, it would be nice to have 1 for each season...I'm sure I have lots and lots of seasonal fabric...

Chriss, I've been wondering about you...It does sound like a new car is in your near future...Our car is only a couple of years old and very low miles but just the other day, we had to get 4 new tires...Talk about sticker shock!

Well, my tea is gone and my break is over...

You all have a great day...................

Good morning!

I am finally down here in the "Batt Cave" as it is now called and can get on the computer.

I have been working on the wedding dress from hockey sticks! I had some alterations to make for a friend of Sarah's - that fabric was not cooperating with me at all. But it is done now and out of my hair - a few choice words were told to it as well! LOL

I am still working on my Christmas Wreaths that are gifts - and I cleaned up my sewing area and desk - I have room again!

It was my Activity girls yesterday and I have a new partner to help me on those days - she just moved into the Ward and is great fun. The girls will like her as they get to know her.

The days are beautiful around here -but very chilly - I have my new coat and it goes with me each time I leave the house - the nights are around freezing - so we are slowly winterizing everything outdoors.

Well I have 2 hours to sew - Ethan is down for his nap. He has learned to talk and pal-parrots every word that he hears - and understandable too!

Have a wonderful day!

Is daylight savings coming to an end this week-end?

Hugs
Jana
