Tuesday, October 22
Good morning everyone.
Yesterday I went to a class at a local cancer center. It was called "Fighting Cancer with a Fork". It gave a lot of common sense information. I did take notes and will post them later. Today after work I will go out to my studio and work on the quilt I am making for my co-worker's daughter that has Breast Cancer. I am making a quilt I found on Pinterest. I made one before. It has strips of white alternating with batik strips. Well, I have to get dressed and think about going to work. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning Suzette and Lois. I made it through yesterday without having to come home. Hope today goes as well. Temps here are getting down to the high 20's and low 30's at night. The daytime is still getting up to the low 70's, so not too bad during the day.
Suz-Have a good day at work, and enjoy your sewing studio when you get home.
Lois-Enjoy your day.
Prayers for all, may God bless and keep each one.

Goodmorning
Well, just one week, and two days until we start our travels. We are so busy getting last minute things done. Got our boat just about ready to put into winter storage. I have gathered up my outside decorations, cleaned them up and packed away. Still have a "to do"list to keep checking off. We want to have most everthing done by Sunday, as we leave Monday to go to our son's house to stay a couple of days to get dentist appt and DH doctor's appt. Then if all goes well, we will be ready to head south on the 31st. These cold nights and very cool days are making me wish we were already headed to Texas.
There will be no sewing for me for awhile, but seeing and hearing about all of your projects and so forth, will keep me wishing that I could. I love to view everyone's pictures.
Prayers for everyone. Hope you all have a great week. Welcome to our new friend, Sosew55. I will stop in from time to time, to keep up with all the postings.
Hugs

Good Morning.
I hear the big chill is heading this n way in the next day m or two.
Good quilting weather. I had to go to 2 LQS before I found one that accepted the pillow cases I made for the children's million case challenge. I picked up a little more pink fabric.
Today there'll be a little phone calls, bills, paper work & change the bed....then quilting.
Suzette......I'm looking forward to seeing what you post. Have a good day at work.
Lois.....I hope you get to sit outside today. our days a numbered for that.
Mary/rosebud....I see you already have the big chill. Have a good day.
I'm off for an other cup of tea.
Love & Prayers for all in need.......Kathy

Good morning everyone.
Suzette you and Torrie should get together, you are such STRONG pink warriors.
Judi, burrrrrr. Quilt time for sure.
Kathyquilts, well I am not going to say go Red Sox. It's not gonna happen, no not from me xoxoxoxoxo
I just got a great recipe for a butternut squash quick bread recipe. It is along the lines of pumpkin bread, etc. the gal that gave,e the recipe made it into small muffins also.
Sell the update on Myles is that the Chron's is so bad they have put remicaid back on the table. It is terrifying to even think about after once again going through all the good and the bad. He may come home within the next few days if the tb test is good because the dr says at this time they can't do anymore testing on him until they figure out the next step.
I hope everyone has a beautiful day. if you have had or know of so done that is on remicaid I would sure appreciate hearing about it. The cost alone is mind boggling. hoping and praying that Medicaid approves him.
travel safely and return often
Prayers and positive thoughts always headed up for those in need

Good Morning Girls
The Frost is on the Pumpkins here in MN too! And it's cloudy and gloomy. I've caught my annual head cold, so I have a box of Puff's with Lotion ready to take to work with me. I can't have a cold without my Puffs!
Said my good-byes to Jen last night... they got all the way down to the airport and Jen discovered she made a boo-boo on her flight home, so they are here one more day. Probably won't get to see them, but I snuck in a few kisses and hugs last night. Baby has a cold and runny nose too, so I hope their flight home goes well tonight!
Got a baby shower invitation in the mail yesterday for my nephew's wife... TWIN GIRLS. Here I thought I had lots of time to whip up 2 matching quilts, but the shower is Nov. 10th. Am going to use El's "Twin Sisters" pattern--perfect don't you think? If I didn't have to work this week I could at least get a head start. Might start a little cutting when I get home from work tonight. If I can at least get the tops done, I can give those with a promise for finished quilts before they arrive--sometime mid December. I do have Friday off, but have a ton of errands to run and think I need to go down and see my Auntie.
Judi... had to break down and take out my winter coat too! Found a little change in the pockets! Hope your bone pill doesn't make you too achy today!
Kathy... Hope you have lots of fun quilting after all those chores are done. Friday is PAY DAY here!
Velda...I bet you are anxious to head to warmer climates after the frost in the air! And anxious to get settled in TX so you can start sewing again!
Suzette.. hope your work day goes fast.. so you can get home to sew too! Are you still contemplating looking for a different job?
Oh gosh, time for me to fly...
Wishing you all a most wonderful day!

Suz - oh, I love to look at Pinterest. I suppose the seminar you went to yesterday was about food that can help prevent cancer? DWTS made me think it was a waste of my time to even have the TV on; however, I was glad Bill Ingvall has another chance even though he's not very good.
Lois - bless you heart. How much longer until you can get your motor running?
RoseBud - y'all are getting cold at night - brrrr. Our weather is pretty nice now - not too hot, not too cold.
Velda - I hope to see you at the quilt show. Y'all be careful in your travels.
Kathy - sorry you will be getting the big chill. Enjoy your quilting time. Thanks for the reminder about sheets. I need to wash the sheets from the guest bedroom because next week I'll be having out-of-town quilt show company - BOING BOING.
Judi - I forgot to take my bone pill last week. I'll take it on Friday and see if it still makes me ache all over. WOO HOO no more bugs. I wish we'd get as good freeze and that it would stay that way for a few days so our fleas and other bugs would be eradicated. We haven't had that cold weather in about 5 years.
I'm at work. Yesterday my DH took Schatzi to the vet because she still had runny poops w/blood. The change of dog food is what has caused all this. So we have to give her pills for as week and she also gave us something for vomiting. I sure hope I don't have to clean the kitchen floor again tonight. It gets old. For dinner we had left overs, I did a couple of loads of laundry and then got back in my sewing hole while DWTS was on and cut fabrics for flying geese and got them all ready to sew. I'm adding on to a Christmas panel. I need more green and more white. Back to the quilt shop I go...probably tomorrow after work if that's the day they stay open late. Someday soon I must go to the grocery store....and the beat goes on and on and on. Quilt show in 11 days - BOING BOING BOING.
I hope we can all fondle fabric today.
