TINA - so sorry to learn of your aunt's passing. I know she was special to you. A big cyber hug to you, my dear!
LORI - sorry to hear your mom has been ailing, but good news that she's doing better now. My DIL wanted to learn to quilt, too and also chose a king-sized quilt. And nothing would do but a double wedding ring! She did it and it turned out amazing! Yes, I didn't mean to get into rearranging in my sewing room, but one thing led to another and pretty soon I had shelves emptied, stuff stacked in the hall, and all sorts for trouble to get into! But now the dust has settled and I'm working on messing it up again!
LOIS - glad to hear you're in sewing mode once again! I've been sewing with my left foot for a few weeks now and it didn't take any getting used to at all!
Scottie took a flying jump off the bottom step today and hurt his front paw. He was limping around and whining for a while. Then a big nap, a snack, and a new rawhide chew and he's as good as new! DH was worried though. I swear, that man is worse than a neurotic first time people mom! lol!
I started a new project this afternoon. My friend has a second home in Hawaii. Last year I made her placemats and napkins out of Hawaiian fabrics. But was left with a ton of strips! (I have to learn not to be quite so rabid about it when cutting strips for projects!) So now for her birthday this year I'm using up the extra strips and making her a small quilt with a tesselating star pattern. Man, there is a lot to keep straight with this pattern. I've never done one before. It's going to be challenging. I need to have it finished by end of Nov. So I better go get crackin'!

Hey all,, your never gonna believe this.......They cancelled the wood cutting....too rainy......Ken got in his office to help me clean up////Next thing I knew I was at Home depot buying paint....next thing I knew the room was emptied into the dining room and kitchen and living room. It was filthy behind all that furniture....so we spent the afternoon painting....we have now lost enough light to paint so we will have to wait for tomorrow. Which by the way we are invited to our youngest son's house for dinner.....I feel like I am on a tread mill going 900 miles an hour. Son called and said "Mom you know I love you...could you make home made bread for tomorrow?" so I need to do that in the morning, Monday is my class BOM....and that is the class on Bobbin work...so I am excited.... and
I made glluten free pizza for dinner and it was really good....Ken gaver it an 8 out of 10. Life sure gets busy around here...Hope you all have a great night. XXXOOO
