CHRISSY - prayers for Myles. Poor little guy to go through all of this! Keep us posted!

SHARONA - Sorry your DH isn't sleeping. Do you have any outbuildings at present that you could use? Hope you're done with the old house this week.

I've read some of your posts as I quickly eat a breakfast bar before getting to work. DH went down the mountain yesterday to spent the night in the motorhome. It was to get below 32 for several hours and we don't have the motorhome winterized. Even though it's in a garage, he gets worried it will freeze, and that's the last thing we need.

The asbestos guys finished up, the Royal Plus guys Bio washed the floors and walls yesterday. I started moving things back into garage. Hope to have the Uhaul empty and returned today. My plan is to have us fishing in Texas by this time next week.

Chrissy1 - I'm sorry to hear about Myles. Will keep him and all others who need prayers on my list.

Carole and anyone else who is an NCIS fan - I, too, missed last night. I found you can go to CBS.com and watch shows.

good afternoon ladies:))

Well I got to sew last night. Yup finished two of my SBS blocks so proud I am now 7 more to go to catch up for new post on sunday:))

Happy Birthday D:))

Lois doesnt it feel good to take a shower without boot. Hey i had cast for 12 weeks. Thought I had it wrapped well----uh noooo had to have emergency visit to get new one cause it got wet and I lost an ink pen cap in it scratching my LEG LOL. Yeah dr fussed at me :) but it itched something aweful. I found out a knitting needle laid in fridge for few minutes worked better Nice and cool and no danger HAHA:)

Lunch just about over and headed to my next school. Its raining here so dont plan to pack my usual rolly bin just throwing few things in my bag today:)

Chickie thats alot of peacans. SO do you say PEE CANS or Puh Cons? I worked with gal from GA who called them PEE CANS and we worked in a nursing home so I asked why she ate urinals (she was a nurse and chuckled) LOL. Thats a speech therapist for ya telling you how to pronounce words LOL:)

Well I better get back to work. Have a fun day in your sewing rooms ladies. Think of us poor gals at work while you sew and make an extra pretty for us:))

God Bless and happy thoughts

Good morning all. I get to stay home and just do a few uglies and sew today. Pepper got her results back from the vet yesterday and her kidney numbers are getting better. She is starting to get back to her normal self.

Carole - if you missed an episode of NCIS-Los Angeles go to CBS.com on your computer and you can see any episode you missed of any CBS show. I have done it several times. I hope that Medicare gets your infusion problem straightened out before the first of the year.

Lois - Glad you don't have to wear the boot except to go out anymore. I am sure you feel better about that also.

Jules - Hope you feel better soon. I understand when you just feel "yuckie".

Judi - I will be sending prayers your way for your DIL's pet scan. So young and to be going through this.

Karlene - I understand what you mean about the mice. We live in the country and I spend a small fortune on glue traps every year when the weather starts to get cool. Around here that is a normal thing for country people.

Chrissy1 - prayers going out for Myles and your family. Hope he starts to get better soon.

Sharona - I know what you mean about contractors underbidding. When we have work done we have a signed contract for the price and we tell them that is all we will pay. That has always weeded out the under bidders for us.

Suzette - Prayers for you during your cancer study. I know you will come out all right. You are a fighter.

Well, better go get something done. DH nurse is here for his catheter change and port flush. When she leaves it will be time for lunch. Hope everyone has some time for sewing today.

Good morning!

Little one has been sitting in Grandpa's lap - listening to classical music and crowing at the top of his lungs - his singing! LOL Then took Grandpa by the hand and lead him to the crib - naptime! Now that is a good boy! LOL

I am sewing downstairs - another set of wreaths that I taught the other night - the neighbor's next door - the one that helped me with the lawn - she doesn't have much in decorations - they are young and not married long - so I thought that this would look nice at her house. I am doing one as well for my DDIL - DS4's wife. Easy - they will be the same fabric and since neither goes to each other's house it is our secret! LOL

My cellphone has grown legs and disappeared along with a tole painted bat from a halloween decoration - hunting this house for both of them.

I got all the knees patched in the pants that were here and there is still a couple of pairs to do, that they will bring out to me.

We have to put on hold the other brick planter in the front yard - too cold to be laying brick and mortar - so all my tulips and irises will go along the great wall in the backyard for this year. After they are bloomed - we will re-plant them in the planter - next spring.

The weather is quite cold at night - we are below freezing most of the nights now and the days are bright and beautiful - just darn cold outside!

Well I need to get sewing to get these tops done before little one wakes up.

Hugs
Jana

Back for a few…

Izzy—I say pee-cahns’, but that’s just me. In this area, everyone says it differently. Too funny about the urinals. I lived in Missouri… pronounced it “misery” as that’s what it was most of the time. Love the idea of the knitting needle in the fridge for a scratcher.

Judi—write that down and save it. What a precious memory. Didn’t it almost bring those tears…

Sharona—yep, DH’s hands are almost black—darker than walnuts. I started wearing some of those blue nitrile gloves, and except for where I got a small tear and they leaked, my hands are only tan in places. I’ve had them black, then I started wearing my gardening gloves until the oil came through. After that I put on the gloves inside my gardening gloves for picking. Make sure your contractor is bonded and hold back at least a 10% retainage until after finish in your contract.

Chrissy—hugs to Myles!

MaryZ—they are almost three inches by 1” in the hulls—maybe the size of half a bratwurst. The hulls are at least ¼” thick so there’s lots of “shrinkage” when they come out. I am trying to figure out how to make pecan coffee...

I’ll try to get back…

Good==still cloudy==Afternoon,

I wonder if I'll ever be all moved in here. I spent some of the morning reworking the kitchen cabinets. Then I quilted. Now I'm on a tea break.

Cindyg....I will 'behoove' myself & check the alarm. It might need a battery. Someday when I can organize it I'll visit DD2 in Austin & some how get to Houston, you & the show!!

Chris...I'm not sure what block....I think something fabulous yet simple. Did cps check out the basement?? That's where shackles should be.

Judi....I'll keep sisDIL in my prayers. Hope you got to the sewing room.

Karlene....OMG!!! Ewwwwww is right!! Hope you caught it. There are chipmunks all over here. They live in the boulder pile at the end of the driveway.

Chickie....I wish I could come over & help, I'd grab a hand full for my salad tonight.. I always liked shelling the assorted nuts for my Mom.

Sharona....LOL...at first I was more stunned by hearing someone talking in my house then the blaring noise. How far are you from your old house? I'm in my new home 6 weeks shy of a year & I'm still changing thing around. All the odds & ends get dumped in the guest room & the quest bathroom's linen closet. I'd love to start a business helping people unpack.

Chrissy....Myles is always in my prayers. I'll turn the cell phone on.
How was the MRI????

Maryz....I feel your finger pain. I haven't got one yet this 'winter' season.

Lyn....that's a big job, glad the asbestos is all taken care of.

Izzy....I'm a Pee-can girl. I remember clearly being a working non sewing girl.

Sherry...I'm so happy to hear Pepper #s are improving.

Jana......I'm thinking of making my neighbors El's wreath for Christmas. I would have loved to come to your class. Love sewing with other quilters.

Love & prayers.................Kathy

Sharona-I think the fur babies are just ramping up for the time change. They were ready to go out for a potty run and get their morning treats.
