Hello....

Cindyg...feeling 'blah' & 'BOING" at the same time? I can relate to that. Some days I'm all over the page. Sorry about your car's brakes. Good they are fixed in time for work.

Sharona...I saw all the awful wash out's in CO. I'm glad you're OK. Good thing your sister is coming to help you. there's so much to moving.

Chickie...Well I won't be going back to UPS. I mailed a very light wieght package & it cost $15. I'm stuck with the PO. I'll just go to the one that is in other direction. I never made it to the LQS...My sister called & said she was having phone problems. We had tea today & she took the food home.

Tess....OMG...569 jars!! I haven't even made any jam or apple butter this year. I did buy a doz of jam jars today. There are blueberries in the freezer.

Izzy....I thought there was universal pricing at the PO? You must have the smallest PO there is.

Maryq.....I know what you mean when I worked I love the times I had 4 or 3 days off.

MLana....your the first to have it...snow!!

Irish....how wonderful Kathy's coming for a visit..

Tina....I did mhave a nice day even though I didn't make it to the LQS...Maybe tomorrow.

Sharon.....my wonderfully comfortable chair is cranberry color with a little bit of black to tone it down. Love it!!

Off to quilt..........Kathy

Good afternoon! I’m on a little break time. I’ve been sewing on the Halloween piece.

Kathy—I feel your pain of the postage! I often think that our P.O. gal is afraid to charge “regular” for anything. She will weigh, measure, and almost hold her thumb on the scales to make sure she gets the maximum amount of postage affixed. If she has any doubts whatsoever, the higher rate is charged. I’m always surprised when I take things to be mailed that I’m sure weren’t that much. After working as a secretary forever, I know about how much can go in an envelope at regular price. I’m glad your sister wasn’t ill or ignoring you on purpose!

MaryZ—those photos are just darling!!!

Sharon—Odie is doing great. He likes to sneak snacks from Tinker Bell. If she catches him, he’s in trouble but always does it again. The two of them, but especially him, are always good for a few laughs. My DGKs have/have had gerbils and hamsters and love them.

Irish—that’s too bad about the jerks who spoil the sacredness of the sanctuary and the wedding. I would have never though of taking drinks into the sanctuary or leaving bottles around the bushes. That doesn’t reflect well on their upbringing. I’m sure you don’t get paid enough on those weddings!

Judi—I second O’Dorothy—no vacuuming!!!

Jana—Hard to believe you have s--- in the forecast even in the mountains. Donner Pass… that didn’t come out well for a bunch of travelers… Sorry about the Niners. Giants won although I’m not sure it was any big deal. Can you grow wisteria or grapes on your arbor? Lori sent me some seeds for cypress vine, and the humming birds and butterflies really have enjoyed the red flowers.

These days I only have a couple of humming birds left. I’m sure they are the stragglers of the migration. I miss them already. I’m changing the nectar and using my smaller feeders at this time of year. I want to leave food out for the late fliers.

Break over. I need to bring my laundry in off the lines. Have a great evening!

No baby today... Tia was due on the 20th and she was early for Jovanna...just waiting.

I finished the border of Kim's Quilt, now on to the label.

I've read everybody's posts, I don't have the energy to write to you all but sounds like everyone's busy.

The dentist told me to start taking Valium for bedtime (which I won't do) But I may try to get something natural to take to relax me. We will see.

The neighbors had a tree service over there today so we had them come over and take down one of ours too. We got a huge pile of wood chips too :-) We use those in our garden.

Talk later!
Vicky
