Wow that Jamestown quilt is awesome Tina. I love the colors. Yesterday I got all my uglies done and finished the Pinwheel quilt. I have to go to the Post Office today and get it in the mail. Whew!! One more off the list. The dogs will be happy now. I can start their quilt. Well, I am off to get another cup of coffee. Have a wonderful Sunday.
Vicky - I hope the baby decides today is the day. But as we all know they come when they want to.

Tia's baby is being pokey...her father in law says that it must be a boy
I'm going to spend the day with her today so JR can go to church. I'm bringing my quilt to start sewing down the binding. It's SO close!!!!
I created myself another quilt job, my granddaughter, Jeny LOVES!LOVES!LOVES! cats so I decided to make her a throw for Christmas with kitties on it. I have the pattern Claire's Cats and I'll pick 12 of them to do using the fusible web and the machine blanket stitch. It will be fast and she will love it. I was trying to get the Crazy Cat pattern from Buggy Barn but you have to buy a book, they don't just sell it by itself. So I'll use what I have and I'm not buying material, I'm using my scraps so this gift will be free except for batting.
I'm having tons of trouble with my teeth clenching. The mouth guard isn't really doing what I need it to. I guess I need to go and see my dentist again and talking about this...again.
Emily and I went to an orchestra last night, the first one of the season. It was good, but I was so tired. We got back late and I'm tired again. I need something to jump start myself, a miracle pill or something maybe stress relief
I guess I need to get around, I have to make a meal for the family to take to church before I go.
Have a great day!
Keep looking up,
Vicky

Good Morning,
LOIS - Are you up early or late?? Is State Fair an old Pat Boone movie? I just finally finished going through all my magazines. I made a database in the computer of all the projects in all the magazines that I could possibly ever want to make some day.
TINA - your Jamestown quilt is stunning. I love the colors. You did an amazing job!
SUZ - congrats on having all the uglies done AND the pinwheel quilt. Don't forget pictures!! Now bring on the dogs!
VICKY - hopefully today will be the day. The Lord's Day - what could be better? I have that Claire's Cats book! I made a quilt out of it for my sis, but haven't gotten to one for myself yet. We are both AVID cat people, too.
IZZY - I try to use scraps, too, whenever possible. I kept them in 4 drawers of an Iris cart: whites/creams, lights, mediums, darks. One of these days I need to make a crazy quilt, I think, just to get them all finally used up.
SHARONA - howdy!! Hope you pop back by again soon! I know you're pretty busy!
I saw serious flooding in Houston on the news last night. I know Cindy lives quite a ways from there, but I wonder what she got in the way of rain.
Last night I got an e-mail. Our LQS is closing. They've really been struggling and were down to about 700 bolts. They kept rearranging things so it didn't look quite so empty in the shop. But they say 2 other ladies are buying it and will reopen soon. I sure hope it does OK.
Scottie seemed to change yesterday. It's like he went from a roly poly puppy to a miniature sheltie. Suddenly he's not afraid of most things - though he still barks at the potatoes every time we open the pantry - and he runs through the grass after his dad. He is awake more, and his teeth got sharper. LOTS sharper! I think he's going to be a quilter. He really 'devoured' a couple of my quilt mags yesterday.
Praying for a baby soon.

Re: Sunday September 22,2013
Morning all....this morning found me at our local hospital in A&E......I have vainly tried to struggle through this episode with my asthma but it was playing ball......mind you I think what topped it off was having to see DH's family yesterday......I think the stress of that pushed me over the edge.....so off I went to A&E and got a nebuliser, made me feel much better, at least I can breathe again.....the dr gave me a short course of steroids to get my lungs to fully settle down and 2 different types of antibiotics as I've had wet lungs for nearly 2 weeks now he wants to make sure I don't get an infection on top. The poor nurse tried to draw blood, and I have terrible veins, she couldn't find any up my arms so tried in my hands, they both gave out before she got any and I am now sporting 2 lovely bruises on the backs of my hands LOL
Yesterday was horrible, I only really like one of DH's brothers (he was 60) the other 2 get on my nerves, they are always trying to compete and prove how wonderful they are.....DH's mum is awful, she doesn't like me, never has and is one of those people who is very skilled at being nasty right to your face but sickly sweet to DH so he doesn't realise whats going on.....mind you over the years hes seen some of it and realises how she can be - when i saw her I greeted her properly asked how she was, gave her a hug and do you know what she didn't even ask me how Charley is - Charley wasn't invited to the BBQ - she didn't ask how her job was going, nothing, all she did was tell me how wonderful all the other grandchildren are etc.......it really hurts to have your own child completely ignored by her grandparents.....I was grateful of being ill so we could make our excuses and leave......poor old Charley, even after years of it it still hurts
You guys know more about Charleys life than her own grandmother, and you take much more interest......shame on her I say, she's the one that loses out!!!!
Anyway sorry to have gone on, must be all the medication pumping through me LOL
Can't believe Tia's baby hasn't arrived....Vicky haven't you got a trampoline she can bounce around on???
Hoping all the rest of you are well, praying and sending love to you all xxxx

I thought I would pop in and say good morning.. I usually don't post in the thread, but I agree Tina your quilt is beautiful
Is it cold at you house this morning? The sun has finally decided to show itself.
We will go to church and then I want to make a cake. Does anyone read the Hickory Holler Farm Blog??? If you can, quilt, and love farm living you will love this blog. This lady is great. She posted an apple cake recipe using her first harvest of apples this year. I made it and DH wants another one. My-my it's good...

Good morning....what a great day.. church then the sweet potato festival where I will pay money to dunk my son in the dunk tank... when he was little he was so precious.. but then he reached middle school and would take my slippers off my feet and put them just out of my reach so I had to get up and get them.. boy he was a stinker... this will be my get even moment.. and if I can't dunk him I will find someone who can..
Maryq... my blocks are calling to me too... but I am almost finished.. don't know why I dragged my feet so much on this swap, maybe because it's only 12 blocks? hope you have pretty windows...saw your grandkid picture on FB... a very cute couple of kids you've got there... bet your excited to get to smooch on them soon.
O'Dorothy, how was the circus wedding? hope it went well...
Tina, I am sorry about the traction in PT... bet DH doesn't want to go on another road trip for a while...your quilt is beautiful...
Karlene.. glad you mentioned the church floor for putting together a quilt... I could use the table at the volunteer firehouse.. it's big.. now to make a top...lol... I have the cabin blocks and the Christmas blocks will be here soon... I may give it a try...
Izzy, no bake peanut butter cookies... did they have chocolate chips and oatmeal in them? we made some drop cookies in home ex (8th grade) that were so wonderful.. I probably can find the recipe on the internet....
Lois... gosh you sound bored... wish I could come up with something fun for you to do that doesn't require walking...
Suzette, glad the pin wheel is done.. what pattern will you use for the dog quilt?
Vicky, I think if the baby is a boy his nickname should be poky pete... but if she's a girl and just waiting to make her entrance that's a whole new story... hope we hear from you later today...
Sharona.. hi...
Maryz.. had to look up Claires cats.. boy that's a lot of patterns.. glad Scottie is feeling more comfy there.. bet he is cute chasing Bill down...lol
Jules, hope the breathing treatment and steroids help and solve the problem.. sorry for DH's family.. especially for his mom... don't you wonder how people live with themselves..do they have to remember to hate or is it natural? Although it would be nice for Charley to have a doting grandma I am glad she doesn't have to be subject to someone so hateful... your MIL sounds a lot like my mom... how sad to be them...
Tess, anything apple is wonderful.. hope your cake is great...
yesterday at the end of our game as the snack mom was handing out the snacks it poured rain.. we all got into the car wet... it rained off and on yesterday.. it was wonderful...thanks to whoever sent it.
and I'm off, you all have a marvelous Sunday...

Good Rainy Morning,
It was so dark at 7 this morning I went back to bed. The rain is making me feel unmotivated. I think it's a good quilting day. I did make a casserole & I think I'll take it to my sister's for dinner.
Yes, I love my new chair!! It was worth the extra time I took sitting in the 2 I liked the best. And I'm also happy I paid a little extra to get the color I really wanted & not settling for the color they had in stock.
Lois....happy reading & getting inspired.
Suzette...."Oh Happy Day!!" The quilt is done...so happy for you! Your PO is open today?
Tina....your quilt is beautiful.
Vicky....praying today is baby day. Sounds like a wonderful quilt for a DGD. Sorry about your teeth. my mouth guard is made of hard plastic & has metal reinforcement. It did the trick for me.
Izzy....a cleaned & organized sewing room a wonderful place to sew.
Sharona...happy quilting!!
Maryz...you puppy is so cute!! He fits his name. Sounds like his settled in & feeling safe. Sad about you LQS. I hope the new owners have what it takes to get it up & running.
Jules....yes, that was a horrible day. I'm happy to see you are feeling better. A difficult MIL can be a very difficult thing to live with. Mine never liked me. The first time they stayed with us I heard noise in the middle of the night...she was cleaning my very clean bathroom. Went down hill from them. I, on the other hand I'm a very good MIL. I love the man that loves my DD. We are always here for you.
Tess....you apple cake sounds yummy.
Chriss...I can't wait to hear about the festival & dunking you son.
Love & prayers.............Kathy
