SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Sept 20th
Today our Scottie is 8 weeks old! He has really made himself at home. He runs up and down the hall, trying to play with the unplayful cat, has slept all night (once), and last night he went to the door and whined to go out to go potty. We also saw him watching the cat go through the cat flap (and it's big enough for a full grown sheltie), and then he went to investigate how the cat disappeared! He's going to catch on to that sooner than we want.
But enough puppy patter - you all probably have your tin cups rattling on the bars by now! We're feeling like we need to eat lighter tonite. So salad and egg salad sandwiches are on the menu. If DH is REALLY good today, I might make him T--A sandwiches. It will be one less can of it in the pantry and he'll be happy for a month. but mine will be egg salad!
What's happening on your table tonite?

Hello MARYz & everyone.Beautiful sunny day here. That little Scottie sounds like a winner.Easy to train. He will catch on to the cat soon enough. And the chase will be on...
It was laundry day after walk.I refuse to even look out because something will pop up that needs doing.Hope I have most of it done.
JANA I think cake for the main course is a great idea, not too healthy but so tasty.DH eats pie over cereal for breakfast when it is here.He ate a cherry pie (small) for lunch. If it is sweet he will go for it.
IRISH I thnk DH is like your JIM about desserts.Would not do for him to live across from Subway like you.I would never have to cook.LOL
Today will be ham sandwich & salad .We are eating lite too...Becca

Good morning!
Mary - he is a sweet little guy! Already behaving himself!
Becca - cake is always good - Bill Cosby did a whole routine on eating cake for breakfast - eggs, flour, sugar - all breakfast type things! LOL
Tonight I am heading down to Matt's - I will be "running herd" on all the grands - the big push is on to finish up the painting and moving stuff to show the house to either sell or rent - so I have my job!
They are making dinner - chicken alfredo with noodles and/or french onion soup - my choice - DH will be fending for himself - he is staying here - where he has quiet! LOL
Enjoy

Good late afternoon from sunny, warm, almost summerlike, SW. Pa....
Oh Mary, that little ones sounds like so much fun....Maybe we need to get a puppy to play with our youngest furbaby....She starts running, up and down the steps, through the living room, down the basement steps and then back up again....I'm never sure just what gets into her...Kelly just watches as she runs by...
Well, I've been out to lunch and that means, Jim doesn't eat, right? Well, I was nice and brought him 1/2 of my lunch and he's a happy camper....But, that was just a teaser so not sure what he'll get later.....Being such a nice day, dogs or hamburgers would be nice if cooked on the grill....After lunch, one of the girls invited us over for red devils food cake and it was delish....I could have been extra nice and brought home a piece of cake but don't want to over do in the nice department.....
Happy eating...............

Happy Birthday, Judi!! I would never choose fruit over cake...lol!
Boy, Carol, if I had a cat door, after hearing your story, I would worry about critters coming in!!
Tonight we will grill...well, Earl will grill, unless it rains, which it might. Burgers and a vegetable medley both on the grill.
Joanne
