Happy Friday Eve!

SUZ - I hope your boss is accomodating while you undergo your radiation.

LOIS - well, at least you're not hauling laundry baskets up and own stairs . . . . But imagine you wish you were.

JULES - hope your asthma gives you a rest soon!

JUDI - what a nice day you had! Well, except for the very end. I was at friends for dinner once and dinner turned out to be a giant steelhead. No side dishes. Just that big fish in the middle of the table. Gaaackkk!!!

CAROLE - Scottie is starting to sleep even better. If he woke up last night, I didn't hear him. He sleeps in his little kennel on Bill's side of the bed. And Riley sleeps on my side. Bill is in charge of night-time (and most day-time!) potty runs. It seems fair - if Scottie barks to go out, Bill takes care of it. If Riley Kitty barks to go out, I'll take care of it. :o)

MARY ROSE - hearing aides are SO expensive! Our friends got his at Costco and they were $2,000. My SIL got hers at an audiologist's office and they were $6,000.

VICKY - maybe if you told Tia we're all waiting . . . . and it's rude to keep people waiting. . . she'd hurry this baby up! Not that I'm impaitient, mind you. But so exciting!! Glad you had a relaxing day. You both needed it!

VELDA - have a good time with your friends today! Hope lunch is excellent! When do you leave for Texas.

Today - laundry. Of course, any day could be laundry as there is always something to wash. But if it's not today, then we'll have to pretend we're at a toga party and wear the bed sheets for clothing!

CAROLE & MARY & TRACI- happy birthday, girls! Hope you all get to whoop it up just enough so we don't read about it in the papers!

Good morning! Best laid plans for sewing yesterday evaporated with the rain chances. I had an allergy/sinus headache and could barely see much less concentrate on anything. DH was going to town, so I went with him and had him drop me at Mom's. I took her my aprons for show and tell--she really liked them and the fabrics, too. I may have to make another road trip to the LQS for some fabric for her to make up to sell. I also took her a beautiful floral FQ for her to make up in one of her pillows. We had a nice visit.

Today I hope to sew. I've already had my Claratin (generic), and maybe it will keep the headaches at bay.

Have a great day, all!

Suz - I hope your dogs use their quilt so your efforts won't be wasted. My dogs ignore their quilt.

Lois - LOL - you are so right. Same old same old.

Carole - if your DH had to be the one to chase down Devil Dog he might quit leaving the gate open. Or he could put a self-closer thingy on the gate.

MaryRosebud - it's great that your DH will be able to hear again. Now he will have no excuses, right? LOL My BOINGing will start pretty soon. Six weeks from tomorrow and we'll be headed downtown - WOO HOO.

Vicky - maybe some quilting today?

Velda - WOW you jig for Crappie with an ultra light rig but I can't imagine reeling in a White Bass. My rod would break. We use to fish for Crappie all the time when we fished at a different lake. It's too dang hot to sit still in a boat and fish. We troll for White Bass so we get a little breeze.

Judi - you and Ken did have a nice day yesterday. Yummy - fish for dinner. How were they prepared. I'm glad you are feeling well enough to have had your day yesterday.

Jules - take it easy and take care of yourself. You are missed here.

Maryz - I guess that one dinner outing, you went home hungry, huh? I bet your hostess felt bad. Velda isn't leaving for Texas soon enough but it can't be helped - med reasons.

Last night I did a bit of laundry and continued to mark the border of my RV quilt. I just have a little more to do. I'm planning on going to Vicki's this weekend to quilt it but that will depend on the weather. They are predicting severe weather tomorrow and Saturday and I don't like driving in it alone. The quilt can wait if it needs to. I will take the rain - we are so desperate for it.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Good morning,

I am taking sick leave today...got the punies today! Since there are four people in the office, I won't feel guilt about it. Picked up a stomach bug yesterday, so I will just lay around today and feel sorry for myself!

Today is a good day for babies. Got an email from my sister. Her son was on the way to the hospital with his wife. She was scheduled for an C-section tomorrow, but they baby had different ideas. Maybe Tia's baby will decide that today is the day, too.

Happy Early Birthday to the Judi, Mary/Rosebud, Traci, and Carole (just in case I don't get a chance to say it on your actual birthday! LOL

Well, think I will go lie down for a while. See if I can shake this nausea...

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Mel

Good Morning.....

Sunny & chilly here. I see the leaves are starting to turn. Can snow be far behind?

I did stop in to the one woman quilt show. This is my observation not a criticism. She had many wonderful color combinations. Very little quilting. One quilt of 14" log cabins had quilting only where the blocks meet & nothing in the 14" boarder. Oh yes all of it was for sale & I was told a good amount did sell. She used the same fabrics but in different colors, pink & blue, for 2 baby quilts. Loved those!

No big plans today. A little uglies then quilting my table topper. I'm doing SS so I'm looking to make a topper for her next.
Kimberly.s procedure for the port went well & they still want to keep her in the hospital so treatment at home would be financialy cheaper for them(ins co).

Suzette.....happy 'Friday' to you!

Lois....Have a wonderful day.

Carole....hope you got some reall good sleep.

Mary/rosebud....I had no idea hearing aids cost so much. How do you feel abput him hearing everything...lol

Vicky....the baby know fall & cooler weather is here & wants to stay warm! Saying prayers.

Velda...sorry no fish for you. Enjoy your day, sounds like fun
....stay away from 'moon shine' it will get you into trouble.

Suzette.....was your boss agreeable? I hope so.

Judi....I happy to hear you & DH went out for a nice day trip. Good luck at the Dr's.

Jules...that asthma is giving a a difficult time. I hope you get on top of it soon. Your quilting is missing you(((((HUGS)))))

I know I've missed some of you....sorry

Love & prayers................Kathy

Good morning, good morning,
It was such a lovely day yesterday that after work I sat out in the sunshine and read for awhile until I started attracting the attention of too many bees and I scuttled back inside. Gus kitty loves to have someone outside with him. He used to be a wonderful lap-cat and thoughtful with his claws, but not any more. He prefers to lay next to you with his claws going in and out, which only works if I'm in jeans, otherwise it becomes a very painful petting session! And here I thought he was towards the end of his life last year, but he has rallied and is going strong.

I'm anxious to hear how Mom and Dad survived the first night home. Dad is quite affected by any medication (when I was growing up, 1/2 an aspirin would knock him out!) which can make him difficult for mom to handle until all the meds are out of his system. I tried to talk her into having him go to rehab for just a night or two, but she wouldn't hear of it.

I really need to get some cleaning done this afternoon. I should have the house to myself when I get off work so I plan to be productive. I don't know why, but it is much easier for me to clean when no one else is at home.

Have a great day everyone,
Karlene

Good morning!

This will be another drive-by. I tried to sleep in - I tweaked my bad knee yesterday trying not to fall and it was barking from 3am on. Today we meet with the last contractor and then the price will decide on who gets the job.

If I remember correctly from yesterday - we're not putting our current wonderful home on the market until after we move. I don't know how people show houses while they're moving - we have boxes stacked everywhere. I was going to have my sewing area downstairs, but then we both agreed we don't want to junk up the great room, and I don' want to be trapped in the windowless former exercise room. DH was kind enough to plop on extra space to the outbuilding. I even get the end room with four windows. He wanted to put the outbuilding in the clearing out front, right smack-dab where we would see it any time we looked out the front windows. I suggested an area close to the road and driveway, which will save money, which of course DH then thought my idea was brilliant.

I have to admit I'm getting pretty ratty the longer this drags on. I am not a clean freak, but I cannot abide all this messiness! Oh well - we close in 8 days, start moving in 9, and then in 11 days the movers show up and pack all this up. Since we have so much stuff, they won't do delivery until the following day. DH has several pieces of equipment in his workshop (in the basement) that weigh hundreds of pounds. The poor movers will definitely need a rest!

Sure hope we get a new baby today. Jules, hope your asthma gives you a break. Karlene, so glad your dad's surgery went well.

Can't wait until all this is over and I can have a proper visit and get back to my regular routine.

xoxo! Sharona

Good morning :o) You all are more productive then me this morning. I'm hurting so I'm slow, I'll do my exercises in awhile though.
Tomorrow does sound like it would be a good day for Tia to have the baby, the baby would be in very good company :o)
Maryz, they just had the fish?! I like fish but that wouldn't do it for me LOL
MaryRose, My Dad has hearing aids and I was surprises how expensive they are! I noticed I have lost some hearing in my right ear....when we bought the new bed I also bought me a new pillow, it's for side sleepers, well I noticed that when I was on my left side that I couldn't hear very well.....I just thought it was cause my other ear was in the pillow....didn't think anything of it till the other night when we were watching the news and I turned over onto my right side where my left ear was up and could hear just fine, so I flip floppped back and forth and there is deffinately a difference.
Now I forgot what else I was gonna say, "hi" everyone else. My tummy is growling so I better go eat breakfast. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Good morning from a very Fall like day in SW. Pa....

This will probably be a quickie...Jim just left for the elderly bingo and I need to do a few errands...We did leave early this morning for his routine blood work at the Vets...Next week he'll have his appointment with the doctor...He's starting to worry me, loosing weight and starting to get confused but of course he won't tell the doctor and I really can't go with him.....This getting old is for the birds!

And on top of everything else, the toilet in my new bathroom is leaking...We have had more problems with that potty and I'm now, more than ever, convinced we should just put in a new one...The plumber keeps putting in wax rings and it's just not working...He said, maybe, just maybe there is a crack in the bowl...Duh! So up came the carpet, rolled up and on the front porch and now waiting for the plumber to come back....Thank goodness we have a tiny powder room downstairs but this running (walking fast) down 2 flights of stairs in the morning is not good! OK, enough of my boohooing..........

Maryz, I love the way you share the furbaby's bathroom duties with Bill...Seems fair to me.... How are the aches and pains (and I don't mean Bill)...You really have to watch and not over do....

Judi, sounds like you and Ken had a great day....And you also have to watch and not overdo...But nothing wrong with having a day out and visiting friends....

Well, I need to get going, can't put it off any longer....

You all have a great day..................
