Hello Ladies, I am excited to get started, my goal is to get these 3 done before the next ones are posted. After a long weekend of camping in beautiful Glacier National Park, I was blessed with a surprise - my son and daughter came home for a few days (they are in the Air Force); so my blocks will HAVE to wait! I have enjoyed Izzy's poems and look forward to getting to know you all. Love the colors of the blocks posted.

Cori, glad to see you post. We haven't had many start on their blocks yet. Hopefully everyone will get in the swing of things after this week.

Yes Izzy entertains us, she keeps us smiling.

It doesn't look like I'll get my blocks done before my trip to CO. I'll be behind for a couple of weeks I guess. Don't really want to start out behind, but that's life! I'll catch up when I can. I did graph the blocks to make them smaller a least.

Here are two Lover's Knot blocks.... I could have used the first one and stretched and eased but the other one turned out much better.

Great blocks Vicky. I was thinking about doing the Lovers Knot differently than the book also. Lori

Just thought I would share this:
Have you used the "Wonder Cut Ruler?" I've had and used this ruler for years. I remembered this ruler early morning. I don't like cutting these 2 7/8 inch squares in half and then sewing them back together. So----I tried the wonder cut ruler..It's sooooo much easier and faster!!!! I will be using the ruler for the rest of my quilt.

If you are interested in the ruler, go to www.wondercutruler.com. You will see a great picture of the ruler.

I went to You Tube.com and typed in "Ruler of the Month-Wonder cut ruler". If you like rulers to make your quilting easier, this is a wonderful find. There are several videos, including one about the wonder cut ruler, from "Heirloom Creations" featuring rulers that make our piecing better.

Great blocks, ladies. This is so exciting!

Vicky, your colors are just gorgeous. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Izzy, great tip on snowballing those corners.

Very nice Vicki. I love the bright colors.

I ended up getting some sort of stomach virus and haven't been able to do anymore. Going back to work today. Maybe this weekend I can get them done.
