Sunday September 1,2013
Good Morning Everyone,
Wow I can't believe it's September already this summer really zoomed
by really quick.
Today I will finish wash and do some sewing in between no big plans just the way I like it.
Suzette I can't get over the fact that the new Janome is 11000.00 that is ridiculous your son is right a down payment for a new car.
Well I Hope Everyone Has A Great Day.
Prayers Go Out To All In Need.
Lois.

Good morning Lois and those that follow.
It seems like Lois and I have the same type of day planned. I did get a lot done on the pinwheel quilt top. I have one or two rows left to do and the top will be done. Yesterday hubby just about finished tiling the backsplash in the kitchen. The only part left is behind the stove and frig. It looks wonderful even without the grout. Well, I guess I should find my way back to the coffee pot and figure out what to eat for breakfast. Wouldn't it be nice if places delivered breakfast like lunch and dinner? Have a great day.
Lois - I keep thinking about that Janome and just cannot believe it would be that expensive. I have looked at a mid-arm machine and it is only $5,000.

Re: Sunday September 1,2013
Today church is over an hour drive away. I was very tempted to stay home, but off we go in a little bit.
I haven't been over to swaps to see if the Sylvia block have been posted. I'm excited about this starting today
I'm off,
Look to the hills,
Vicky
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Lois that sounds like the day I had yesterday.
Suzette, that is expensive. I'm going to have to see it now. lol
Vicky, me too. I'll go check swaps right after this.
Izzy hope you get some rest later on.
Yesterday I got out to the yard early and clipped some herbs and roses. Took some basil and Italian parsley plants to mom and dads, then came home to sew. I started putting the rows together on my
star red/white/blue quilt top. I'll work on that a little more today.
We also are going to meet the kids for the International Street fair. We have been going for the last 30 years. We need to get there early because it's going to be another hot one.
Have a great day everyone.

Happy Weekend!
HELEN - so good to see you post! I was thinking about you a few days ago and wondering how you were doing.
LOIS - I can't believe the cost of that new Janome! For that kind of money it better cook my dinner and rub my feet for me, too! Your day sounds neato to me!
SUZ - You will have that quilt finished before we know it! How big is it? It will be fum to see a photo when you're done.
VICKY - I hope your hour drive to church is through pretty country. Another month and your colors should be coming on! How's the tooth today?
IZZY - your Sunday sounds busy as usual!
Today's project here is turning our high 12' x 16" deck into a safe puppy playpen. And building a baby dog gate. I'm feeling a surge of fall cleaning coming on, but I'm trying to hold it off a few days longer. I'll probably do a little sewing to finish up some S.S. gifts. But other wise, takin' it easy around here!
It's the first of the month! Don't forget to sign up for the monthly drawing!

Good morning.
O'Dorothy, have you ever seen the movie Hocus Pocus with Bette Middler? they run amok too... they dance around singing amok, amok amok... when you said Kathy was running amok that's what I thought of... the Alcatraz tour was nice, hope she enjoyed it.. and that she went to Ghiradelli for some chocolate afterwards... Jerry loves their chocolate.. I'd prefer a Hershey bar...lol
Maryz.. you could name the dog Cash... my dad used to paint our bikes any color we wanted... mine was a rosy kind of purple... my sisters was just blue...
Lois, thanks for the reminder, it is the first.. don't forget to sign up for the drawing..
Suzette, our painting plans have been put on hold till Marilyn goes back to school... can't wait to see your kitchen... we are going out to breakfast before church if you're still hungry.
Vicky.. you crack me up..thinking of staying home from church just because it's a long drive.. .now go put on your shoes and grab your Bible and head on out to church...lol
Izzy, Maryq is the dresden lady here, she will be glad to tell you how she iron's hers... thanks for posting those great pictures, it is good to see you.
Lori, a street fair sounds like lots of fun.
Judi, taco's sound wonderful.. wish I were there.
after church I do grandma's grocery shopping.. I find that if I go over to her house on Saturday and make a list... I go over everything in her fridge and cupboards that she may need, I find things she does need.... I only end up with about 10 things on my list but she is eating it.. or maybe she's tossing it... but she is holding at 80 pounds...
then the plan is to come home and sew.. I want to finish a couple of things and get started on my SS gift.. I have a few things planned and have a basket with some fun things in it.. I think she will be happy...
and if I don't go get my shower and get moving they will start church without me, so I need to move,
you all have a fantastic day,
Chriss

Re: Sunday September 1,2013
Good morning!
Partially ready for Church - but I have a little while. Need to feed DH before Church - usually while the Choir is on.
Dorothy - I love Ghiradelli Chocolate factory! My favorite is the Emperor Norton Sundae! With Hot Fudge!! It was a trip to get into the City yesterday - they are in the midst of closing the old portion of the Bay Bridge that my Dad built - insert sad face! and opening the new bridge. After living there my entire life - born and raised in the Bay Area - I never did the Alcatraz tour. Hope that Kathy had fun!
Chriss - how close is the fire getting to the Toulumne Meadows grove? Sarah is wondering as that is where her DH proposed and they love that area.
Well not much going on here - Church in a little bit and then after I have some uglies that really need attention. Last night my little boys were here - fooling around in the Great room and proceeded to knock over one of my lamps - the CFL bulb broke on the rug - so I got out the old vacuum to get up the glass - but I knew it was on it last legs - well it died - at 9 p.m. - so luckily Home Depot was opened until 10 and I got a new vacuum. Very nice and lightweight too. Inhales the dirt very nicely too! LOL
Michael estimated that we flooded the yard and the neighboring corral with about 5000 gallons of water - so glad that our water is fairly cheap here - will only add about 10 dollars to the next bill. We have the dirt shaped right - all the water ran away from the house and the basement.
Maryz - thought of a couple of cute names for "our" little puppy! Just need to know his coloring.
Well should get going -
Hugs
Jana
