Re: Friday August 23,2013
Good morning ladies.
Vicky that's a lot of peaches. We have a peach tree. I love fresh peaches right off the tree, but it only last about 3 weeks. I usually freeze some for later.
Suzette good to hear your DH is fine and you are back to sewing again.
Judi sounds like you have a nice garden. I love fresh fruits and veggies, but just don't have the time to tend to them. Maybe when I retire. I have a lot of herbs though.
Cindy, that is late for dinner.
Maryz our weather has been so cool all summer, I think the plants are confused. And now we are going to be in the 90's for a week.
Scrappy that's a big undertaking. Good luck.
I don't know what I will do today. I'll probably head up the street to see Mom and Dad and maybe a little sewing this afternoon. Tonight I'm meeting up with guild members. I'm taking over the news letter, so their going to show me the ropes.
Have a great day.
Lori

Good morning! Yesterday I shampooed carpets at a rental and then helped DH load the brush he had cut down. We were both hot, tired and dusty when we finished. We were going to get an ice cream cone but ended up having burgers and ice cream cones… no cooking for me last night! Today I’m going to be cleaning here and doing floors to get ready for breakfast for the family here on Sunday for DH’s birthday celebration. Everyone is coming, so I’ll be starting all the food prep tomorrow afternoon/evening.
Lois—have a fun day with your sewing! What are you working on now?
Vicky—Congratulations to Caleb! My DDIL2 feels your pain of not knowing where your son is. She went through it with her first and now her second son—they get their own truck, and “Poof!” they vanish! The overlook is beautiful!!! What a neat date for you and Darryl! Someone I knew used to have an old stove set up in the garage to “help out” at canning time. I’m not sure the oven worked, but the burners did. Have you room or thought of a used stove for canning season? Good luck to you today!!!! Good to hear Shannon has an offer—hope it’s a great one!!!
Suzette—have a fun day in your studio! Is your Saturday traffic as bad as weekday, or just different people?
Judi—I need to go out and water my tomatoes. The cool weather set them back. The neighbors’ dog tore one up. I still have four plants. We planted them in “mineral” tubs—big plastic tubs that come with minerals for the cows to lick. It keeps the moles out but makes for more watering. The cantaloupes have slowed with the onset of the hot weather. When we had the cool and rain, we had loads of melons. You and your sister have a good set up! You still have the pattern!
Chriss—the Velcro on the pincushion is a neat idea! Now you can save the “I love you” pincushion and attach another pincushion to your thread catcher. Marilyn is trying to learn to sew… just needs a little guidance. Love the “Big Casino” term!!! Too funny!
Cindy—“Geezer Report”… sigh! DH and I were just groaning yesterday at what our birthdays are this year… 68. It just can’t be!!! We have our 50th class reunion in October. We met up again at our 40th and started dating… look what happened… it will be our 8 year wedding anniversary.
MaryZ—you were a human dynamo to get all that accomplished yesterday!!! After working in your yard, you’ll be needing that massage!
Sharona—your new home is beautiful!!! Do you get the entire lower level for your sewing room? Who-hoo!!! How exciting!!!
Scrap—hope you are able to do the craft show! Good luck to you!!!
Mary-Rose—Is that normal when fall comes for the hours to be cut back? Enjoy the massage!!!
Lori—have a fun day and evening!!! You will do great with the newsletter! Mmmmm! Fresh peaches!!!
Time to get out and do some watering before it gets hotter here… Have a super day! Let the thread times roll!

Miriam - I have designated the entire lower level as the quilting studio. I think it will be perfect for sewing retreats!
Cindyg - hope your sore throat goes away quickly. Everyone's allergies are bad this year out here because of the rain.
Maryz - we're going to have to get one of those Pod things to 'stage' our current home. Blah...

Good morning from warm, party sunny, SW. Pa...Not sure if we'll get rain or sun but I guess we take what we get, right!
This is going to be a quick, drive thru....I'm about to run out the door to do the errands I should have done yesterday....When you reach for a fresh roll of potty paper and it's not there, it's not a good thing, so that's 1st on the list...I have books that go back to the Library and that always means a bag full coming back home and then onto get a haircut.....
Sharona, Congratulations! The house is absolutely gorgeous...I can see why you'd fall in love with it...
Vicky, Congrats to Caleb...I have a feeling he had a very good teacher...I wish I could help you with the peaches..Has to be one of my favorites....That scenery was beautiful.....
Well, out the door.....
You all have a great day..............

Sharona,
I love this house! It is going to be awesome. You must be so excited. And, boy, what a dream studio you could have on that lower level! Does you DH know that you are claiming it yet? LOL
Count me in for any sewing retreats! LOL
