Good morning! The full moon last night made it seem like noon at three a.m. Last evening’s sunset featured a perfect cherry red orb floating over the western horizon. It was stunning! There is no color like that in paint chips or fabric!
Jules—enjoy your sun and sewing! Time to yourself with your machine is always precious!!!
Lois—enjoy your day!
Suzette—sorry about having to go back for the re-squeeze! Wow, your DH went back to work—so good to hear he’s doing well!
Vicky—I wonder about adding greens to your blue tree… it could be your deciduous Colorado blue spruce… a new botanical find!!! How did Shannon’s house do at open house? Has she had any offers?
Sharona—sometimes you can hit the “back” button and find your posts, but if you lost the internet… no suggestions. How frustrating!
Velda—love the idea of a lucky fishing shirt! I have to get a rod and reel before I go back out. My old reel messed up for the 000th time, and I got a new “lady Shakespare” rod & reel—one of the W-M customers said she really liked hers. Well, my first cast out… I caught a little 6 oz. perch. Before I could reel it in, the tip of the rod broke off!!! Now, this rod was rated at up to 12 POUNDS, as well as the line… This fish was 6 OUNCES at the most. Needless to say, no happiness here. I need to get it back and get a different reel. My mom had made me thread catchers for the arm of the chair and my serger. I miss them.
Chriss—I knew you’d find my “news” interesting! Ha, ha! Oh, I have PLENTY of projects!!! This was just a warm up! My scar was a “bikini” clear across. When the staples were still in, it looked like a big grin wearing braces! I should have made “eyes” on my tummy to surprise my doc when he removed the staples… Darn! Why didn’t I think of that!!!
Teresa—how exciting to be getting your computer for your machine! I hope to see the doll clothes quilt—they are all so cute! HB to your DS!!!
Cindy—I was driving my standard shift car the first weekend I was out of the hospital and back to work in three weeks to type audits and state budget requests. Either go or have them bring it to me… You can piece hexie flowers and applique them to your quilt borders… just sayin’!!!
Have a great day, and let the thread times roll!!!

Morning all! It's a beautiful day here, but supposed to get hot and humid as it goes on. Today is my birthday and my oldest is coming later and he and my husband are taking me out to dinner.
Yesterday I started cleaning up my sewing room, and somehow got off on a tangent, and didn't accomplish much cleaning. What is it about fabric that just gets me wanting to sew or plan a new project! LOL. It's not like I don't have enough to do already!
The moon last night was a full and very bright one here too, Farmchick. Sometimes it's so bright I think there's a light on and go to check. Ha, the joke is on me.
Well, before I go out tonight I've got some things to get done. So off to the gym to get started!
Have a wonderful day! Joan

Good Morning, Bad start today. Blood pressure is up A remodeling project is in progress,,,(yes a week and a half before vacation and 3 weeks before surgery) Someone needs to be very busy this week,,,,and it is not doing fun things either.
I finished the class block last night,,,I never get the whole thing done in class....I was very excited to learn how to do piping, It will add a whole new demension to the borders of quilts or blocks in the future, and other sewing too....worth the price of the class/
Suzette so happy to hear DH is doing well. I am still opting for an electrolyte imbalance becasue it got fixed so fast....if it had been a stroke I would think they would have found more exidence.
Uglies abound today....sheets didn't get changed yesterday and camping gear needs to be stowed.
Yes Hysties have come a long way,,,I actually talked to someone who had it done and she went back to work after a week....can you imagine...I am feeling a little better about it....maybe I will get quilting done,,,,but SHHHHHH don't tell Ken he still thinks I won't be able to do any chores. Sides he is on the list today....I have no power to my LA or my bathroom....one in the basement and other on the second floor.....MEN!
Hope you all have a great day,,,,,Prayers for all who need....and XXXOOO

Well, I went for my re-do of my mammogram. I have some calicifications and they are going to do a biopsy next Wednesday. Does anyone know how long it takes for a biopsy to come back? I have had one done on skin cancer and it took 10 days. We'll see what it brings.

Good day everyone,
We had some nasty weather last night, rain and wind. Luckily the really bad stuff went north or south. It is a beautiful morning here on Lake of the Woods. Will be a good day to go 'out fish' the DH. Lol
Vicky - glad you enjoyed the lake. I looked at your post time and thought, how could she spend the day at the lake when the post was 1 p.m. something. DUH, forgot time is pacific. Hope my post on your 1" squares thread helps.
Velda - you will have to show me that fishing shirt. I will be waiting on that email, just don't get it typed then deleted. Lol Hate when that happens.
FarmChick - my recommendation, buy an Ugly stick fishing rod. I have several and love them. I can feel the Crappie on them, so out fish DH who uses some other brand. Yet very strong to catch large Walleye and Northern Pike. I have bought them with a reel already on or DH has put one on. I don't have a favorite brand of reel.
Hope everyone can play with fabric today.
Lyn

Hello everyone,
Just a quick pop in. Chickie, try an ugly or rhino pole. I will be getting reaquainted with mine next week in Nisswa. There's a hint in there for mn gals.
Kids are taking over the farm, so they will be having a vacation from their home too. The grands will love it, especially the little boy. We put a slide on the deck and that is fun. Yes, I have used it.
Take care, love and prayers for all.
Sandy, needing to get busy..

Re: Wednesday, August 21
Good afternoon///
I only have 4 Christmas block left to do.
Izzy...so glad you got the 30th off. What time do you want to meet? I can't wait!
Suzette...waiting is the worst part. I hope all goes well with your mammo.
Vickie...have you made a quilt yet for the new baby to come? It's hard to think of our kids getting old. I think to myself that can't be I'm not that old myself!
Chriss...I have a hexie quilt in progress. It is one of those things that I honestly think never ends. I keep thinking it will get finished this year but so far it's is 3 years in the making. It is a great take along project. I found some hexi paper punches at Joann's that are great. I bought some card stock paper and made my own. It's kind of fun punching them out.
Chickie...wasn't the moon beautiful last night? We had some rain in the early evening and the moon would pop in and out from behind the clouds.
Cooper starts preschool on sept 3rd. He will go Monday thru Thursday from 9:35 until 4:10. It is thru our public school system. He got in because he needs speech, it's an easy fix. His teacher is doing a home visit today. I had to clean! He is excited and so am I! Think I am going to put Lucy in a daycare 2 days a week. It's hard finding a decent daycare.
I hope everyone has a good day and gets to play with fabric.

Re: Wednesday, August 21
Good Morning from a very cloudy AZ. it rained this morning for about 4.5 minutes. But that is Arizona. I just love living here. Of course, I do wish my kids lived here also, but you can't have everything. I am in constant contact with the kids so that helps.
I got a call from DD1 the other night and she wanted to tell me that last year at this time was just horrible because she didn't have the two youngest kids. But this year they are home and she wanted to thank me and Dad for always being there for her and for getting her kids back. Can you imagine how that makes us feel? She also leaves text messages on my phone when I am in bed saying she loves us so much. So when I wake up that is the first thing I see. All that pain last year is gone. Still the jerk is being( or trying to be) jerky, but we can now deal with him. Oh God is sure going to have a lot of talking to do with this jerk.
I am working on my BOM that I was unable to get to when we were traveling. I am on July today and will be finished soon. Will start August after that is done.
Judi, I love the pin tucking. I don't have the foot so just did it without and love how it came out. I have learnt so much doing this quilt. I know I will now use more often the feet and different stitches. I am just shocked that you have to have the surgery. Poor you, but look at all the sewing you will get done once you start feeling batter. It seems a lot of these gals has had the surgery. Both of my daughters has had it also. Let me know how your appointment goes with your Friday appt.
MaryZ should be on her way home and should be home by Friday I think. Hope you gals over in the supper club have not been sneaking in the F---. You know you will get yelled at if you did. LOL
Well I better get off here and back to the BOM.
Thank you Tina for putting Reagan's picture up. I really, really appreciate it. Should have had you show me how to do it when we met up. sigh...
Love,
Carole
