Good afternoon all! Just a quick stop in to say hello. Not much going on here in NW Ohio. This is just a "goof-off" day for me. It is one of the nice benefits of being retired that I can just "goof-off" once in a while. I guess 28 years at Kroger's allows me to do that once in a while. Sounds like a lot of El's Angels are going through some hard times. Well, we are all here for each other. You don't have to meet face-to-face to care about people. Well, got to get back to my "goofing-off". Thursday this week I am looking forward to going to the county fair. I haven't been there for over 20 years and I am craving a cinnamon apple. It is Sr. Citizen's day and I am looking forward to seeing the quilt display. It is a display of quilts made for the Wounded Warrior Project. That is a very good charity which my DH and I contribute to each month. Have a good day and Prayers for all who need them.

Afternoon everyone.
With all my excitement this weekend I wasn't able to look at my quilt the was in the county fair. Someone here had asked if I got any comments. Well, there was one n the back of the card. It said " quilted edge to edge. But, the quilting took away from the piecing ". I thought that it was beautiful with the quilting. But, that's why I am not a judge. If I was the judge everyone would win first place.

Good Afternoon, I haven't been around much due to lots and lots of traveling. But we are back home and in fact, came home early. Never made it to Washington state to visit Mary and Bill. As you know, I get infusions for my RA once every 4 week. I was able to get it on June 11 while visiting our DD1. But could not get it anywhere else. No one (hospitals, etc.) wanted to order the very pricey med. Before when I had private insurance I could get it delivered to me, but medicare will not do that. So I went 2 months without this infusion and well...it got pretty bad... so we decided to come home so I could get it here. So here I am and all is well. Got my infusion and life is good again.

The best thing is that I was in N. J. when my 7th grandchild was born.
Her name is Reagan Quinn and we are totally in love. She just has to be the most beautiful baby ever. LOL Maybe I will send a picture to Tina and see if she can post it here for me. I can post pictures on facebook, but not here. sigh.

Got to meet Tina on our trip along with a revisit to a number of friends in other states. We also spent some time with our sisters, nieces, and a nephew. So it was a great trip.

It is good to be home. BUT this morning the devil dog got out and took off running down the block at 6:30 am. (DH left the gate open Grrr) So off I go running down the street in my PJ's and thank goodness for doggie treats. As soon as he saw that I had a cookie for him he came running. The scariest thing was he was right by the golf course, and had he gone there.....who knows what would have happened. He didn't have his collar on because he just got a bath yesterday. Oh well, he is home and again all is well. I believe DH is going to be extremely careful with the gates from now on. LOL

Well I must run trying to catch up with my BOM. I did finish the calendar blocks and will hopefully get them in the mail this week. Have to get a large envelope.

Love to all and You are all on my prayer list.

back from my BOM class learned how to do piping....what fun that was. The borders of the block have piping between them....very cute...also we were given the sashing fabric and instructions to start putting the top togwther.....oh how fun this is.

Next month I may or may not make the class. I am scheduled to have surgery on the 11th of september....seems since my stint in the hospital all systems are not GO/ I now need a hysterectomy,,,due to all of my parts not staying where they should...."oh good grief", said Charlie Brown. "It's always Somethin", said Gilda Radner. Seeing the Rhuematologist on friday so pray he has good news for me. Not going to handle any more bad news.

I did finish the quilt and started on the other so one more to go.... hope you are all having a good day....I am thankful for what I have,,,,XXXOOO
