Good Morning Girls
Happy Monday --- is there such a thing? Working late shift all week this week and next so at least I can sleep in a bit in the morning and maybe squeeze in some sewing time before I have to get ready for work.
Had a wonderful weekend... got EVERYTHING done on my chore list--always feels so good to get so much accomplished. Even managed to clean up the sewing room a bit, got my Christmas blocks ready to mail and started on my Calendar blocks. And you won't believe this, but I actually put my feet up and sat and read a book for awhile! I just love weekends like this!
Suzette.. Glad to hear your DH is home and prayers that he continues to do well and that you both can get answers to the all the tests. Congratulations on winning with your quilt!
Chriss... all good wishes for a good meeting with the adoption people. Will be thinking of you guys tonight! Sharon's right, we should have a BIG HUGE party when this is all over and the adoption process is complete!
Sharon... do you just have the bug to move? Is the house you like bigger? Will it have a great big sewing room?
Vicky... Hope all goes well with your MIL today.
MaryR..... Good luck job hunting.. I hope you can find something that you like and that will still leave you with time to sleep and sew!
Judi... what is a "bead board"? If Ken ever runs out of projects at your house, he can come over here! My youngest DS started some landscaping at my house last weekend, wonder when he'll come back to finish it!
Lois... hope your work day goes by quickly so you can come home to relax and sew!
Kathy.... Prayers continue for your DD....I hope they can find the right stuff to heal her wounds.
Chickie... Hope you have no interruptions today for sewing!
Well girls, I think I'll go take advantage of a little spare time this morning and go down and stitch a little. Just found out my nephew and his wife are having twin girls--in January I think, so might have to go through my fabric stash and see what I can find for pink! Three gals at work are pregnant and one is having twin boys!
Hope you all have a most wonderful day!

Re: Monday August 19,2013
Good Morning, Our sky is very "marbled" today. We have had several nice rainstorms this past week but we need it so badly in this area.
My neighbor is doing better. Just saw her sneak outside in her jammies to look at her little garden. The lady I know and love is back to being herself. Tries to sneak out before the golfers hit the course. LOL
Lois.......Hope you don't work too hard today. Save some of it for the rest of the week. And how nice to sneak in a little sewing at the end of the day. God bless you today too.
Chriss............ Prayers for you and your family today that this adoption thing gets finished soon. May God bless Marilyn and you too. You are a beautiful, loving little family.
DD2 and her DH are in the process of adopting a little 7 yo foster girl. Everything was almost finalized and mom popped back up in pic and wants visitation rights. DD is not happy about that.
They thought all ties had been severed by the courts in June. They will be supervised visitations and meet her somewhere, probably at the therapist office but maybe only once a month. She can make a few phone calls and contact her via email, I think. They are moving out of state next yr and then all visits will stop unless mom wants to pay to come and see her. Long story. Keep them in your prayers too. She is such a sweet little girl and so loving. Just needs a home and family who care about her and love her.
Vicky.......Prayers for re-cert today too. You are always so busy doing for others. You definitely walk with God to have all the strength and energy to deal with all that comes your way. May God bless you and your family. Prayers for Tia and new baby and all too. Oh, and what trees are you doing in diff colors? Sounds fascinating.
Suzette........So good to hear that you are all back home. Hope they can figure out what is going on. I have had a stroke, a few yrs ago, and much of what you describe is done for stroke victims. It is so frustrating when all they can tell you is what is NOT wrong. May God bless you both as you work towards healing for DH.
Sharona.......Prayers as you look for a new home. It is both exciting and scary, a big decision in your lives. We are moving back to the Midwest without knowing where we will be living but need to get out of here. We are taking a big leap of faith, placing it in God's hands, and moving in with son for a few weeks to figure out where we are going to live.
WE have moved so many times in our lives and each time God watched over us, blessed us with at least one super nice neighbor, who was always there for us, and many delightful changes in our lives. It is a delight to meet new neighbors, form new friendships, some lifelong, and discover all the new things and places to go in our new surroundings. May God guide your decisions, a step into a big change in your lives.
Rosebud Mary.........Sorry you have to find a 2nd job. Not easy to do in this economy. May God bless you and your family as you search for a job and as you go about your lives, always helping others too.
CindyG.........Hope you had enough pieces of you to go around today. Aren't Mondays fun? Glad I don't work anymore. Too old to deal with all that stress. I am running out of pieces to give away. LOL God bless you for all you do in today's crazy workforce.
Grammie.......Sorry to hear about the expensive problems with your house. Always something when you own a home. That's why we rent. You seem to be having a very busy day ahead. I think a quilt pattern floor would be awesome. I love some of the floor patterns I see at Home Depot or Lowes these days. Are you doing tile? God bless your day today, no matter what it holds for you.
Farmchick.........You sound really busy too but what a wonderful place you live. The great outdoors always destresses me. Your pinwheel quilt sounds really neat. Maybe we can meet someday when I get settled back in the Midwest. Hoping for some trips south to Branson or Ozarks area. God bless you in your busy day.
I am sure someone snuck in there on me. Rod just left for work so I have the place to myself. Tv,,,,,off, music.....on, and go back to sorting and packing. I have found so many surprises in my assortment of quilting fabric and "stuff". Old patterns, mags, books, and who knows what. Lots of UFOs or just fabric to start a UFO.
Some, I don't remember why I bought it. Others, give me ideas and then I "dream" about all the wonderful things I could make if I had the time. LOL Not getting a whole lot done but sure enjoying it all. Wish you all were here to just hand some of this stuff to but I can't afford to ship it all over the country.
May God bless all your activities today. May your families and homes be filled with love, hope, and good health. For the ones who are ill, may God bring you special blessings of peace and hope and healing.
Gotta scoot and traipse down memory lane in my fabric filled closet of tubs and boxes, some still not unpacked from last move. Try to read each day but get behind sometimes. Take care.
God bless everyone today and always. Love and hugs across the miles and oceans. Shirley Mae

Hi all!
We are still in butte. We,ve been riding our buggies and taking some time to tour town and Lewis and Clark caverns fifty miles away. Tomorrow we turn toward home. It,s a two day drive but we might stop off somewhere a night or two.
I've read all that,s going on. I can't leave you guys alone for a minute! Prayers for all who need them. And that sounds about like almost everyone!
Sorry to be so short but I,m on our I.pad and battery is low. Miss you ally,
Hugs! Mary z

MaryQ, sorry I snuck in ahead of you. Sounds like lots of baby quilts in your future. But you make such darling ones and so quickly too. Will have all those whipped out in no time. God bless as you quilt for others. Glad you could sleep in a little.
Kathy, Prayers continue for your DD and you too. How frustrating to wait so long for the healing. I know you are anxious to get back home again. May God bless Kim with quick healing and proper treatment to bring that about. And may you find peace and hope as you stay at her side. God bless you for being such a wonderful MOM. It isn't easy to sit by and watch your children in pain.
All who follow, Take care and have a delightful Monday. God bless everyone today and always. Love and hugs, Shirley Mae

MaryZ, what a fun day you have planned. Exploring little towns and caverns too. God has blessed you with so much excitement in your future today. Nice to hear from you. Stay safe and don't get into too much trouble. God bless you and all those with you today.
Love and hugs, Shirley Mae ps are you taking pics for memories in your old age when you can't travel any more? Then you can just sit in your rockers, and look at pics, and remember and smile.

Good morning!
Today has started off great! NOT really! My niece, Sandee takes Stu to school along with her boy - they go to the same school now - on the way out of the sub-division where Stu lives, a truck didn't see her in the Prius and rear-ended the car - not bad, but Stu did hit his head inside the car - he is so tall, that he doesn't quite fit well in the backseat. He is fine, but is coming to Grandma's - for me to keep a eye on him.
The party last night was fun - all the grands played together and we had cupcakes and ice cream. I will be going over there today to watch them as Logan has his speech appointment.
So sewing is not on the docket for me today - just uglies and catching up on things around here.
Chriss - your family is in my prayers as well as those coming to visit - praying that they will get the right words on the paper work and you will have all this over and behind you! Marilyn is where she is supposed to be!
Well I have a jailbreak on my hands - Ethan has escaped to the upstairs and Grandpa's office! Need to go and round him up!
Hugs to all
Jana

Morning all,
I finally have my house back to myself! DSIL had a nice long visit and I am glad she got to come, but almost three weeks is a bit long for a visit, especially since we couldn't take much time off from work to entertain her. I know she was probably bored crazy! It will be nice to be able to slip upstairs and sew whenever I want. I am excited to try the hexagon stamp I just bought.
Sorry to hear of all the problems in our little QIAD family....I keep you all in my prayers daily.
Hope everyone's week gets better.
Love and hugs,
Mel

Re: Monday August 19,2013
Good afternoon from a semi overcast, sometimes sunny, warm, goofy day in SW. Pa....It's one of those days you're afraid to take the chance of hanging sheets on the line, bummer.......
As Mel wrote, this QIAD is really having a few problems...My prayers go out to each and everyone....
Mel, I know how you feel about getting your house back...I loved, loved having the kids here but it was a good feeling to be able to walk down to the basement and not have to worry about one of the cats coming down and meeting up with the dogs, lol....Love to have them but love to have them leave.......
And as Suzette said, there are some of us who will never meet face to face but just knowing you all are there is special...What a group!
Chriss, I've been thinking about you and wondering what's happening.. I also agree about what you said about being surrounded by stupid people...But, we know it's up to God and we also know, it will work out for the best.....Hang in there my friend.....
Judi, I know what you're going through with starting a project...We didn't count on putting in a new floor when we started our bathroom, but! My son suggested the "bead board" and I love it...He did a great job...Now if I'd just stay home long enough to get the wall paper done....And, I love, love prairie points on a quilt...Be sure to post a picture....
Maryq, I can see you're going to be doing a lot of "twin quilting"...Wow, what's in the water out that way?
Yesterday after Mass and a very long breakfast with our friends, we stopped at the house our #3 DS bought for his DS and fellow lacrosse players...He was finishing up with odds and ends and I told him I'd be happy to help with the windows but I just couldn't talk the kids into my lacy curtains..They're going with mini blinds....KIDS! Boy, I hate to see these kids head off to school/college...I just want to keep them little forever....
Today is a little ugly and a little laundry day....Jim has gone to visit a friend and I just finished making a Éclair pudding dessert for our Lioness covered dish picnic tonight....I'm just hoping I can keep Jim out of the dessert until I leave....Him and any kind of sweets, terrible!
If I can find time, I need to go through 2 huge piles of Tee shirts and get them cut and ready for the next project....
Well, that big white thing in the basement just called my name.....
You all have a good day...............

Good morning
) by 5 more minutes LOL
I've had a crazy morning....lots of screaming and cussing on my part....nothing was going right for me. It's over now.
Chriss, I'm praying for it all to go good tonight and they get it finalized by the end of this month this year.
MaryRose, Prayers for you too, that things work out the way you want them too.
I better go, I haven't eaten anything or taken my BP med. You all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Re: Monday August 19,2013
I am very late posting today. It was a busy weekend with our kids visiting. This week is going to be extra hot again. I think we will not try to go fishing. So. . . maybe I will back to some of my sewing projects??? I hope.
First one will be a birthday pillow case for a granddaughter. Gotta get that done, so I can have it ready to mail on time. Then it will be back to my tablerunners.
Wow, soon we will be getting Secret Santa info. That is coming up quickly. I am already finding some neat items to put in my gift box.
yippee. It is so much fun to look forward to.
Prayers for all our pals who are dealing with issues. God will send you comfort and strength, I am sure of it.
Hugs to all.
