long-arm prices

What is a good price for long arm quilting? Last time, my quilt was quilted for 1c an inch. Now she's raised her prices to 1.5c which will increase my price to 150.00, vs the 100 I spent last time. What is the norm?

Here in New England that is pretty much the going rate. I have seen a few that charge .0125 per sq. in. or standard pricing for sizes but you get what they want to do with it. Hope this helps.

Go on ebay and search longarm services and they give you prices by size then that's another way to find out.

I charge 1.5 cents for simple stipple and 2 cents for designs, with a $50.00 min. charge.

I've noticed that prices vary in different regions. We do very little quilting for clients but when we do, we usually charge 2 cents per square inch for a simple meander or pattern. If it's a more complicated pattern which takes a lot more time, or if we have to remove the quilt from the frame and turn it to do the borders, we'll charge more. And if it's not prepared properly, we'll also charge more. Almost all of our quilting is done by my husband who has a Q-bot on our LA. So his stitching is perfect.

I do a lot of quilting for Pals, friends and family especially at Christmas time when there local LAmer is backed up for months. I have a quick turn-a-round time.

All my quilting starts at .015 for meandering and then stays the same or goes up depending on what type of quilting you are looking for and the density of your choice. I aim to please

1.5cents per inch, sounds like a lot. There is a Carellan Sewing shop here, (Wpg) that rents her longarm, you go to the shop and use the longarm. I was just wondering how much I would pay.. Maybe I should purchase the walking foot and make do with...

Having it professional done would be so so nice. Tell you how much it will cost at my end of things. Just comparing.
