Good morning Pals
LOL - Sorry didn't realize it was a bit early to start the thread. Guess DH went to bed earlier than usual and I wasn't paying attention to the time. I just looked up at the clock.
Hope you all had a great weekend. The BBQ went well accept we ended up eating outside with the chairs and it got to be hot for me but I didn't want to say anything and ruin the momentum. My feet really puffed up and I started itchy, itchy and has continued - UGH! Took benadryl so I could try to sleep - LOL - ended up sleeping all morning. The kids had a great time drawing all over the driveway with the chalk I found when I was cleaning and rearranging a couple of weeks ago. Sun Sue had a great time with them as well. I will post pictures soon but she will be traveling hopefully by tomorrow to parts unknown to you until she arrives

I watched the taped Wimbleton Final and it was GREAT!!! Totally different from what I thought it would be. I was thinking 5 sets with shorter rallies. It was 3 sets with much longer rallies. Definitely different from the Semi. No massive fist pumping and angry stares. A whole lot more mental intensity. CONGRAT'S Jules!!!!!!! He broke the 77 year mark for having a winner. History making!!!

Along with a house with less dust and dirt in it I got the baby quilt finished but now it needs a binding so will search through my stash to find a pink. Didn't want to sew being flacky from the Benadryl - LOL!!!! Carlos wanted to show his fiance the machine in motion. He gets a thrill every time. I told him next time i will have some fabric on the frame for him to play with - He laughed!!!

Waiting to hear from Judi about the Christmas Block Swap. With being at the BBQ all day I didn't get to answer on the 6th. I did send her 2 PM's. If anyone knows her in person would you please give her a call. She is a Newbie to me but maybe not to the rest of you. If she doesn't join us this year then the spot goes to Sharona who PM'd me on the 7th. Need to be fair here for all.

Now I am off to the stash closet to find some pink before I head to bed. Want to make sure I have my list of needs before we go shopping tomorrow.

Good morning Teresa and those that follow.
Yesterday I didn't get much sewing done. But, I did hit 2 fabric shops. Does that count? I had to look for some canvas type material. Our niece's boat the shade was home to a mouse during the winter and there are a couple of holes to show for it. They ordered one that was supposed to fit and does not. So, they asked me to fix it. Today it's back to work. So, afterwards I plan on getting out to my studio and get back to sewing the rows together for the Quilts of Honor quilt. Some of you asked for a picture of me at the lake. I posted one more in the photo thread. Have a great day.

Yesterday my DH put together my pantrys and Im still trying to fill them good project while that heat is out there.
I have to work today but that's ok when I come home if im not to tired I will get back into my sewing room a try and get some more done in there.

I started sewing the fourth ring (white) around my GFG yesterday while at church. I have 1 almost done, LOL I think I'll get tired of just sewing plain white Hexies by the end.
I didn't really work on Kim's quilt much this weekend because we were gone most of it. Today and tomorrow I'm going to be at my MIL's so I don't know if I'll have a lot of time in there. I really, really wanted it done by Sunday. Maybe I'll have to work on it nights. I usually don't sew after DH comes home from work. But this project just doesn't seem to want to end

Good morning..

thanks to everyone for the ant treatment recipe's... Jerry took a barbed wire fence down not long ago and he claims it must have been what kept the ants out.. now they don't have a fence...

they have only gotten into the house once so I think we may be safe....we purchased the paint for the half bath yesterday... and some peel and stick tile for the hall bathroom.. Marilyn's room is next.. the paint from Home Depot is called Behr...her colors are Sea life #490B-4 for the walls and Flamingo Dream #140B-5 for the trim.. we talked her out of striped walls.

Karlene, let David know I get measured for my crown today... and hopefully get started on getting my teeth cleaned...did he ever get crowned?

O'Dorothy, not sure how your cats would like my ant eater... the ants here don't get into the cat food, the blue jay's steal it before the ants know it's there...

for me it's time to get breakfast and get ready for work.. Jerry just brought in 8 tomatoes from outside... it's a good day...

Good Morning, I seem to be sleeping more but I have been bisy. I went down and Me and Annebelle sinished quilting the summer porch and I did get the binding on. Now to sew it down. then back to the dresden plate. I love getting a UFO out and finsshing it....I also love this quilt and do not understand why I put it off. this was to go in the camper too.

Speaking of campers I love Velda's new one. Our friends just bought a new one and it is fun to have fresh and new, but expensive. We have been having fun redoing ours and freshning it up/

I have a cardiologist appt today so DH and I will do lunch and go see him. DH of course wants to go to this appt. We have lots of questions/.

It is sunny and bright out this morning. It did rain again last night,,so far almost every day. 80s today DD may take the kids swimming at sis's pool. Not sure we may stop by there.

Good Morning.....

I've been really busy helping DD go through all the boxes she brought back from San Francisco 5 years ago. I'm not going home today but tomorrow. I want to go to the Dr with her today. The infection she has under her tummy skin is no better. Her ankle is doing well I just wish she would wear the sneakers she just bought for support &
protection. OH well children....lol
I can see she does not want me to leave. It's breaking my heart to go even though I plan on coming back!!

I'm looking forward to my bed & no cats pestering me during the night. I miss sewing & my room. I hope to catch up with all of you. I can't wait to sleep through the night. I've been gone 28 days.

Good Morning Girls

Happy Monday! Two more days of work, the Wednesday off.... trying to decide if I should just stay in and sew all day.... or run some errands and do some projects. I know you'll all say SEW, but there's some uglies to do around here, and I really should go get groceries and the lawn will probably need mowing--again. Maybe it will rain all day and I'll stay inside---we sure do need some rain up here!

My room mate is helping me learn how to use my I-Phone.. I downloaded the Joann App and the Michael's App. Jen sent me a darling video of Eli to my phone---so fun! I now know how to get to QIAD from my phone so when I go to the cabin this weekend I can still keep up with y'all. Now if I could just get her to clean up some messes and vacuum up some cat hair and pay her rent.. I'd be thrilled!

Cindyg.... So sorry to hear about Ed. My thoughts and prayers will be with Vicky and their family in the days ahead, and you too as your mourn the loss of your good friend.

Suzette... Love the lake pictures! I've stored my son's boat at my house a couple time and we threw fabric softener sheets all over in it, works pretty good for keeping the mice out!

Chriss... YUM fresh tomatoes from the garden. Never got mine planted this year. I'm so anxious to get some painting done up here too, my bathroom and my porch to start.. but think I'll wait til fall when I take a "stay-cation".

Teresa.... did you find your Pink? I'm about 6" short of backing fabric for my niece McKenzie's quilt... am so mad! Now I'm on the hunt for some more. I really should that finished before I start another project, but I do have sewing ADD really bad! Was going to work on my Christmas Blocks last night, but ended up playing with my phone and crashing on the couch instead.

Lois... Hope your work day goes by fast so you can go home and PLAY!

Sharon.... even tho you probably won't see this... I wish you safe travels and a happy visit in Ohio!

Time for me to fly girls... Need to stop at the bank on the way to work and for gas AGAIN.... gas prices are coming down here a little so it's not quite so painful to fill up!

Good morning. I just have to say thank you to you all for the prayers and condolences regarding our friend,Ed, his illness and his passing. Y'all let me talk about it and I love you for it. Vicki will be making funeral arrangements this morning. In the meantime I am so far behind here at work so I need to get busy and get caught up since I know I'll be gone on funeral day.

I did read the posts this morning. Sharona - have fun and be careful.
Sue, I know you are on the road so y'all be careful, too.

I hope everyone gets to fondle fabric today.
