I use low loft batting on my babylock espire. Do you use 11or 14 to to do your free motion quilting

I do very little free motion quilting, Glenda, but when I do, I almost always use Warm & Natural or Warm & White batting. Not sure if that would make a difference. I usually have a 12 needle in, but I think a 14 would be OK, too. 11 might be a little small for quilting through 2 layers of fabric and batting.

Could you use some scraps and test each size and see which you like best?

Glenda I use either 20/80 or warm and natural and a quilting machine needle.
