Does anyone have a pattern for a weighted blanket. My great grandson needs one.

When I was looking for that pattern a few years ago, I just put it in the search engine and it came right up. Here's one:

Do weighted blankets calm a child? I think I read something that they are great for autism.

Do weighted blankets have a calming effect for a child? I heard they are great for autism. Does anyone know if that is true?

Re: Weighted Blanket Pattern
From what I understand, the weight of the blanket allows the child or person to feel where their body parts are. This allows them to be still and calm. That's an over simplification I'm sure. You can probably find out more on-line.

Re: Weighted Blanket Pattern
Hi everyone, I just put in "weightedblanketpattern" (without the parenthesis) and got a search site on All People Quilt. I tapped on the first choice offered and it is from Craft Nectar. I got afree downloadable pattern for a weighted blanket. It also shows one being made. Hope you have good luck. Another source to try is www.funquilts.com
