Re: Tuesday 18 June
Good morning Girls
This will be a quick hello... woke up at 6 and thought "five more minutes" closed my eyes and woke up at 7:30... and to make matters worse, my coffee pot didn't start automatically like I thought it would.
Will be thinking of Judi all day today and wishing I had access to the internet during the day to check on news. Will check in as soon as I get home.
Went to Joann last nite, looking for some WOW on to go with some stuff I already bought and don't have enough of... drat, they had no more of it. So all I bought was some Christmas WOW and a couple small skeins of baby yarn. Will have to keep looking!
Better run
Have a great day girls...

Jules - it's so good to see you here. What stitches? Glad Charlie's move is all done but so sorry it has laid you low. Take care.
Suz - sorry about your DH's arthritis. I'm finding out just how painful it can be. Humidity has something to do with it? Gosh, if it does I'm in serious trouble living here.
Mel - oh, bless your heart. I hope you could go back to sleep. I'm worthless if I don't get my beauty sleep.
Lois - I have a little trick: when I have to get up in the middle of the night to go pee I just don't open my eyes. That way I can go back to sleep easily. Well, it works for me.
Vicky - yes, steady does win the race. It's too bad you can be at home more steady - LOL. I'm glad you are home today though. I can't wait to see that finished quilt.
Velda - have fun fishing. My sister and BIL are with 3 other couples this week to fish in Rockport. I hope they have a good time. I can't remember - where are you now?
Chrissy1 - my quilting student is just finishing up a red, white and blue Day and Night quilt and I think it looks really good. Mo should enjoy being in N. Carolina - I hear it's just beautiful there.
Chriss - enjoy your zucchini tonight. We had tomatoes from the garden of one of my co-workers last night. They were so gooooood! Then we threw away some peaches we got at the grocery store - they were hard as a rock. We put them in a brown paper bag for a week to try and ripen them but it didn't work this time. Disappointing. LOL about your foot warmer. My feet won't be cold again until about January.
Sharona - boy, those Accuquilt's are the berries. They are so fast and accurate. I cut out my Dresden Plates in less than 30 minutes. They are sure expensive though. I used my BFF's - we split the cost of the dies.
Chickie -drink lots of water before blood work - it plumps up the veins and makes it a lot easier. I have my coffee in a go cup but don't drink any until I leave the lab but it is right there when I'm ready for it.
Vicki's DH, Ed, was accepted at M. D. Anderson - they met with his doctor and team, did more paperwork and they drew blood. He will be having an MRI tomorrow, Thursday and Friday on his head, neck and chest and will talk with the doctor again on Friday when she will have the results. Last night I fixed dinner and did a load of laundry then went back to my sewing hole where I finished doing the buttonhole stitch around the edge of my Dresdens. Tonight I'll start stitching around the centers. Prayers going up for Judi. I hope we hear something soon. This waiting drives me nuts.
May we all get to fondle fabric today.

Good morning, good morning,
It was sunny yesterday but is overcast here today. I worked on painting the other upstairs bedroom over the weekend. I have 2 coats done and I think one more will do it. Then I have to try to do the ceiling - let's just say my skills with a roller on a handle are not great. At one point I was holding the paint tray and was reaching up to brush paint on the top molding when I felt wet running down the front of me. Yup, tipped that tray a little too far and boy, was I a mess. I had just set the tray down and was thinking, "Whew, glad David didn't see that." when who should poke his head in the door at that moment to see how it was going?!
Prayers for Judi.
Cindyg - glad to hear Ed was admitted there.
Have a great day,
Karlene

I just got back from my chiropractor and she tells me I have a whiplash. Oh, this is just great. One more thing to deal with.

Good morning!
Lots on my prayer list today! Hoping everything goes well and heals quickly!
Quiet day here - little one will arrive sometime - just don't know when.
Aaron came over last night - brought me his shirt that I sewed a badge on for him - I got it a little crooked - so I frogged it off and pinned the hockey sticks out of it - it is straight now! Also told him the next time he needed a patch on a knit work shirt - not to bring it to me! LOL He can send them off to a shop to sew them on, but they take 6 - 8 weeks to get it done! So me - I am quicker!
We got the budget done here yesterday and so that is out of my hair for another 2 weeks - now I can go and spend money! LQS - here I come!!!
Well time to get food around here and minor uglies done -
Hugs
Jana

Back from the doc... I'm fine and got my two scripts renewed to go again!
Cindy, I had drank that bottle of water before I left home... Then the bathrooms at the doctor's office were wearing an out of order sign... YIKES!!! I do that same trick in the middle of the night... Getting old is not for sissies!!!
Our credit card got hacked again, and our carrier called to check on a prospective purchase--I had not made it! So, now we are waiting on new cards to arrive as ours was cancelled again. I'm glad USAA is vigilant!
Now, to salvage some of the day... I'm still swilling coffee to get my levels back to normal for this time of day...
Hoping for good news from Judi's front...

Well it is now afternoon so will just say "hi"
I am so sorry to hear that so many are having trouble with their Arthritis etc. I broke down with the GM pain I was having and going down my leg to my knee and went to see my Rheumatologist got 4 shots in that GM & upper thigh he says this is Bursitis all I know when it gets to acting up its something else! The shots usually last about 6months asked what cause it he said so much use of that joint wanted to know if I had been on gardening working in the yard. guess between doing that and riding my stationary bike which is suppose to be good for the body is to much.
Cindyg I do know that the humidity can affect your Arthritis that is one reason why we didn't move down to Houston.
I am going to try and sew this afternoon. I laid down after I got home put ice to my hip per Drs. orders and fell asleep for awhile had gotten up way to early. I did my frogging yesterday trying to put in a zipper on my GGDs little dress it has been so long since I put in a zipper forgot how! finally got it in now to finish it up.
Keeping everyone in my prayers and waiting to hear update on Judi!
Take care everyone

Re: Tuesday 18 June
Hi Everyone, Sorry to read about Judi. Prayers for her that God will provide a miracle and she will soon be on her way to healing. Prayers for her hubby and the little kids too.
Since we traveled all over and worked and/or stayed in lots of rv parks in 8 1/2 yrs, I do know the kids will be cared for lovingly. Most campers and rvers are very friendly neighbors and so willing to lend a hand whenever needed. I have had total strangers hug me and offer a prayer with me. They have cared for my dog, driven me back and forth to the hospital, etc. God does provide for all our needs, sometimes in very surprising ways.
We are packing for a trip to Las Vegas this weekend. Our son-in-law is retiring from the Air Force after 22 yrs. The ceremony is fri pm. Since his own dad left him at age 2, Rod wants to be there for him on this special occasion.
Will go up thur and come back sat. House will be full of company but we plan on grabbing a couch somewhere in a corner. Hotels are all booked for 2 diff major conventions that weekend. Most rooms are over $100 a night anyway and can't afford that.
Also some very good news at out house. WE are getting a new grand-daughter. She has been a foster child for a few months but thanks to a court hearing this week, will be adopted by our DD and SIL in 6 months. She is 7 yrs old, small and skinny with long blond hair and so cute. She lives with the family we are visiting this weekend.
We will get to meet her this weekend. Can't wait. We have 5 DGKS and this will be #6. The other 2 DGDs are already in college so will be fun to have a little girl around again. The other 3 are boys, one in college in NY, one 10 yrs old (both her soon to be brothers) and there is a 5 yo old here in Phx. Another little girl to make quilts and dolly things for. I miss that. And she loves pink. Makes it easier. LOL
I need to get busy and go back to packing and making a list so we don't forget anything. Prayers for all in need today. May God's love and blessings shower your lives today and always. Hugs and love and prayers across the miles to all. Shirley Mae
ps thanks for your prayers for Rod. Test results are not back yet on his Parathyroid. VA is slow. He had to quit his new job. Too stressful and on his feet too much. No training at all. Demoing is not that easy, especially when you have to wing it because no one is there to tell you what or how to do it.
