Re: Saturday 15 June
Good morning all. Just a quick stop in today. I have to get my John Deere out and get the lawn (5 acres) mowed before the rain comes tonight. Busy day with uglies to do and checking in between on the golf tournament. Must get all done before the NASCAR Nationwide race this afternoon.
Chrissy1 - Congrats to Mo for his awards. I told you the graduation would be a great experience. Enjoy him while you have him home for his leave. How long does he have?
Jacquie - So sorry about yur divorce. I am sure things will get better. I will keep you in my prayers.
Well, better go now and get started. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Father's Day to all of the dads in our group.

Good Morning Girls
Finally the day I have been waiting for is here SATURDAY... Slept in a bit this morning, but having lots of coffee so I can get butt in gear and tackle those nasty chores. Need to run to town for gas for the mower, some dirt, mulch and grass seed to do a little yard work today.. Gotta make hay while the sun shines.. you never know how long it will last!
Sherry... 5 acres! I thought I had a lot with ONE acre to mow!!
Jules... great to see you!! How great it will be to have Charlie home! I miss my DD so much!
Pat... glad your DD is okay and that her can be repaired! The best part is that she will be able to sew with you today!!
Chickie...it's a wee bit over cast up here today too.. but that's okay.. makes it not quite so hot to be outside working!
Maryz...*wink* back at ya!
Chrissy... Congrats again to Mo! What an honor! Does he know where he will be stationed next? More prayers for Heather!
Suzette.....send your contractor up here... I have HOLES in my kitchen! Been there about 11 years and I haven't gotten around to (or money for) getting them fixed! It's on the Job Jar list tho!
Judi...don't you hate that when the brain is running 100 MPH! Could not get to sleep last night for all the "to do" things running through my head! Hope you have a fun time camping with the little ones!
I know I am missing some of you this morning, but time is slipping away and I have so much needs doing this weekend, so I better get a move on! Will be thinking of all of you as I ride around on my mower, with prayers that you all are happy and healthy!

Re: Saturday 15 June
Good late morning!
I have been up and a very busy little bee - I have the potato salad made, prepped all the fixin's for the hamburgers and hot dogs and have the cupcakes all done! Even got some uglies done in there too!! The Church bulletin is all printed and folded for tomorrow - so not much left in my day but to sew!!!!!
I have laid out 3 blocks so far and see what I need to cut and sew to finish them up.
Sarah will be over sometime in the near future - with Ethan to take some pictures for a Father's Day Gift - she has painted letters to spell out "DAD" and Ethan is holding one in each of the three pictures for the frame she has - should turn out really cute - she found the idea on Pintrest awhile ago. Digital cameras and 1 hour photo, sure makes it easier to be last minute!! LOL
Well need to head off and finish up the last of the uglies - vacuuming and sweeping -
Have a great day - we will fireworks tonight!
Hugs
Jana

Re: Saturday 15 June
Good afternoon from warm, sunny, SW. Pa....We've finally gotten out good weather back and it's more than welcome.....Just purrrrfect!
I just got back from having lunch with 2 gorgeous gals....Kathy's daughters are home for the weekend and in between seeing everyone, we had to have lunch....They will be joining us for breakfast in the morning but today was just girls...Cari's shoulder is coming along very well...Big Sis is staying with her and doing all her driving etc....But, she's back at work and will be starting her therapy later this coming week....Oh boy, I miss having those girls live close by.....
Finished the uglies and had the sheets hanging on the line, bright and early...And now, since I'm done, I can spend the rest of the day in "my room".....I think I only need about 6 more blocks and I'll have my scrappy top finished...Jim is amazed at all the different squares...And he thinks I sewed each 2 in. square together by it's self and I'm not telling him anything different....It's going to look kind of nifty on the spare bed....
Mary, your finished quilt is fantastic....Like I had said, waiting all that time makes it more special....Happy trails to you, enjoy your trip.....
Chriss, a painter and now a fisherperson, she does it all....I remember when Kathy went fishing, she didn't want to drown the worm...She put on waders, went way out in the creek and then stood there, singing...She was trying to scare all the fish away...Talk about goof ball kids! Her brothers never asked her to go with them, after that.....
Jules, that's wonderful about you and Charley's weight loss...And if she gets to live closer, that's a real bonus....
Chickie, I can imagine the fun you've had having your "little girl" staying with you....Boy, do I miss those days...Our youngest DGD is 18 and off to college in the fall....Grand kids shouldn't be allowed to grow up (or move away).....
On that note, I'm headed for the machine.....I'm sure I can get a few more blocks in before dinner.....
You all have a great rest of the day..................

Re: Saturday 15 June
Afternoon all,
Just a quick hello....it is a beautiful day here in the Great PNW. DGS has a ballgame in a couple of hours. Glad it is not raining.
The Thermaspa rep will be here in a few minutes...DH has decided he wants a hot-tub! Not for 100% sure it will happen, but he decided to have someone come out and make a sales pitch! LOL
I hear my cabin swap blocks faintly calling my name....maybe, just maybe, I will venture up there this evening and try to get busy on them.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll try to check back later.
Hugs,
Mel

Sorry I am popping in so late again. Just took our grandkids back to meet their parents. We each drive 1/2 way and then make the switch.
Today, there was another set of grandparents doing the very same thing in the parking lot of this gas station.
I am so pleased to see Jules and Jacquie's posts. I am so delighted to hear of the "baby" news. So exciting. And Wow, weight loss celebration as well. Good job! to you and Charlie.
Jacquie, we will all be keeping you in our prayers for your life struggles. Peace and happiness is by far a valuable thing!!!
It's surpriseing how much one misses when you don't check in for 1 or 2 days. Wow, it takes like for......ever to read and catch up.
But starting tomorrow, it should be more normal around here, if I can remember what normal is????
Happy Weekend, to all!!!
Velda

Good evening, my wonderful quilty friends.
I've been feeling kind of puny all week - I think something's sneaking up on me so I'll keep this brief.
Take care and I'll be back.
xoxo Sharona

Re: Saturday 15 June
I'm tired!!! I have all my prep work finished for tomorrow's brunch. At least I don't have to get up at zero dark thirty in the morning... We had a fun day! Natasha and I (and Odie) went to the grocery store early and took a cooler for the cold goods. Then we stopped at Mom's to visit her. We brought her flowers (purchased one of those neon colored daisy bouquets-Natasha picked it) plus a couple of dinners I'd made... catfish and green beans, and steak with cheesy broccoli. She still had cherry pie in the fridge. Natasha wore her new skirt, and she certainly looked cute in the outfit she had put together with it. We came home, and she got to swim with Warren for an hour or so before a big thunderstorm rolled through. We received an inch of rain accompanied by all the sound and flashing lights! Then it was work on my prep. DH and Tasha went for an ATV ride and checked on the cows and calves.
Time to put my feet up!
Again, Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!!!
