Thank you Carole, Denise, Shirley Mae and all for praying for my GS. He is doing a little better today and was able to eat for the first time in a week. Praise God!

Shirley Mae, you are a strong prayer warrior. I love to read your prayers aloud and echo them to the Lord. I'm praying for the families of the lost firefighters and asking God to calm the fires so they can be contained.

In a blanket prayer, I ask the Lord to watch over all of you and keep you safe. I pray for peace of mind and health for all. I pray that this world will see the downward path we are on and come back to praise God.

God is good!
Great-grandbaby #6 arrived this morning 5 weeks early but doing great. She is in the NICU but breathing on her own, just having a little trouble keeping her temp level. She may have to stay a little longer than Mom but both are doing well.
Her name is Savanna Delaney Garcia. She weighs 5# 4oz and is 18" long. She is the most beautiful baby in the hospital! (I am not prejudiced!!.....LOL)If I can remember how I will post a picture.

Ruth, Congratulations on a new little girl in your family. And such a pretty name. When you get a chance, give her an extra little hug from me.

She weighs about what my son did. He was 4 wks early and spent 2 more wks in the hospital but very healthy, just had to grow a little. Of course by then he was spoiled rotten by the nurses too. LOL

Prayers for little Savanna, the parents, and you too. May God bless your home with love and hope and happiness for a wonderful future for this little precious child. May God be always at her side, guide her in her life, and do great things in the future.

Prayers for you too that you are feeling better. A new baby may give you new hope too, something to think about and love and make things for too. Sending love and hugs and prayers your way. Shirley Mae

Update on Savanna: Blood tests came back negative so IV antibiotics were stopped and IV removed. She is still breathing well, only room air. She lost a little weight as expected. She has a feeding tube as she tires too quickly to finish all the want her to have. She is able to finish about 1/2 oz. by bottle, then about 1/4 oz. more by tube. Goal for letting her go home (maybe 2 more weeks) is for her to be able to take 1 1/2 oz. by bottle at every feeding and to be gaining weight. Everything else is good, (heart, lungs etc.)She is in an incubator to keep her warm so as not to waste any of the calories they are able to get in her. Just hard on Mommy not to be able to hold her as much or have her home. She just needs to catch up to when she should have been born, a slow process.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. They are the next best medicine besides love!
God bless all
Ruth
