Hi Girls, I think your brights and black background will be beautiful. I'm still going with scrappy and varied whites or cream for background. Only what's in my stash. I've chosen 4 different colors. I have light, medium, and dark for each color. They are small(I mean small) scraps. If I run out of one color, I'll go stash diving again. Everything goes for me with this quilt. I plan to have fun and use just about anything.... I need to get rid of scraps I've had for years.

Right now it looks like we will start our Sew-a-Long September 1st. We will do 3 blocks per week--that way it won't take sooooo long. Perhaps each week one simple block and 2 more detailed ones. How's this sound? I'm looking forward to lots of pictures and ideas from everyone.

I plan to start a new thread in August for sign up. A list will let everyone know who they are sewing with. No pressure here--just fun. If you like to sew, be sure to watch for a new thread.. Can't wait

I am looking forward to trying this. I have never paper pieced anything so when it comes to those blocks it will be a challenge for me. Actually, MOST of those blocks look challenging to me! LOL but it will be good to get out of my comfort zone. I also will have to force myself to learn how to post a picture. We will be gone 2 weeks at the end of Sept., first part of Oct., so I will miss out on some of them....but hopefully will be able to catch up. I still plan on using stash only and that includes background. I really need to use up what I have. Should be fun!!!

I may join you in this if i can. I have the book and was thinking of doing it in the fall. I am thinking I will make smaller blocks though ( 3-4 inches ) and probably not all of them. Would I still be able to join your group?
