April Showers, bring May Flowers:

April Lotto brings us some flowers.
Look! So pretty, they are all so Happy!
Each block we share
Will show that we care.
Cotton Pals gathered together
With some old memories and some new.
Some blocks made just for fun.
But all blocks made with love.
We truly shall "April Shower" the "picker"
So our new Winners will have Lots of MAY FLOWERS.

June - As coordinator I have to say this and I will try to be a caring and tactful as I can. I am going to be flexible this month as I really like the flowers in your block. It was mentioned in the directions not to use solids. You did mentioned that you saw this in one of your postings and was going to change the border but you sent them before you fixed them. I have decided to give you tickets for them because it is Mother's Day, the majority of the block has flowers, your block is 13" and the border can easily be change if the winner so chooses.

I will ask that you and everyone be extra careful each month to read all the directions before you start your blocks. I want this place to be FUN, FUN and more FUN for everyone.

As we gather the flowers for Mom
Let us all try to remain calm;
They won't wilt and wither
But I find myself in a dither;
As I say to the hand of picker "come hither"
Please pick my name
So I can be a happy Dame!

I've changed one of the blocks I'll be sending out. The one that was different from the other three. It really didn't have any solids in it, but they looked solid in the picture. I hope to mail tomorrow, but Dad is here this week, so I'm not sure. I'll post when they go out.
Now, here's my little poem for you:

May the sunlight shine
And the flowers grow.
May the spring be with us
And no more snow!
May we spend more time
In the out of door,
And may the hand of the picker
Find my ticket for sure!

To those that asked about the retreat I went on, it is an annual trip up to a wonderful quilt inn in Rangeley, Maine. A group of us go for a week each April. It is owned by a lovely couple who live and run a quilt shop just next door. We sew, sew, eat ,eat, and sew! We always do a charity project ( usually quilts ) for some group, and have a challenge among ourselves. It's a great time!
