Got my 'Piece of Cake' done (used 1 layercake and 5 additional 10" squares so all the center squares in 9-patch would match= 4 X 5 of the squares cut from the giant 9-patch blocks)--right now it's about 60" X 76". Think I'm going to add another framing border and then use the sashing fabric as final border so I can have a Queen size--pictures later!

I got the pattern too - and already have my fabrics laid out to play with tomorrow - her directions are always great - so I am going to give it a shot early - should have the top done shortly!

You have patterns already??? Cool, I won't get mine until Tuesday, of course, but did get to see the picture on the site where you watch. Looking forward to it. Here's mine from last month (just a top, didn't get around to quilting it yet--it's HUGE)

Sally -That is lovely - I know that it is huge - just the size of the blocks you start with!
I have been working all day on the new pattern - it is easy - but time consuming - I spent 3 hours just cutting out the charms for the half rectangles and sewing them together - of course I picked the quilt with 39 blocks in it! LOL That means 160 little pieces or so, that I cut out! I have 1/3 pressed and trimmed to size - another 1/3 pressed and the last are waiting for me - probably will finish them tomorrow.
I think that the rest of the quilt top will go together faster -

This morning webinar was a hoot - I hope that they don't edit it for the rest to see - too much fun!
Off to do more trimming - yes I am still trimming - but almost done!

Sally Your quilts are wonderful, I really like the dark sashing on your hole in the wall quilt. I'm registered on the monthly webinars too. I really enjoy the time with El and her gals.
