Velda.. so far I have only had two wanting a theme and more than two didn't... I think we will forgo the theme idea and see if we can bring it up next quarter....

so far the questions I am adding to the original questionaire are....

do you mind re-gifted or gently used items... this would be the ruler you only used once, the blue FQ you washed but found to not be the right blue,the pattern you bought and will never do.. etc...

do you mind home made gifts? which home made gift would you love.. (pin cushion, pot holders etc.)

where are your favorite places to spend gift cards.. Connecting Threads, QIAD Applebees, Pizza Hut, McD's etc...so that if someone isn't able to send on time they can sneak in an online gift card...

I will also add, make sure the package sent fits in a regular sized mail box.. great idea so that packages aren't left on door steps.

and please send a note about yourself to your partner...

and remember that we all have budgets to follow.. it's about getting to know eachother and getting a little something in the mail... not about expecting to get a lot of something in the mail and wondering in a month or two where it came from...

we all have to remember to be kind and to be appreciative...someone took the time to send you a whatever and they did it because they thought you'd like it...if you are out for more stuff this isn't your swap..

if you have specefic requests or questions now is the time to ask.. I am gathering up what I need so that I can get this thing started. It's only a month away...

in the middle of Feb. just before this swap starts... I will post a brand new hints list....it will have a lot of the old questions and some new questions.. you can easily copy and paste your answers and add your new answers.. we will start up in about a month...

Hi,
I just wanted to mention that anyone that has the newer postal boxes where there is a whole blocks worth of mail slots put up in the middle of the block... none of those fit very wide things but there are also larger boxes down at the bottom that the mail carrier just locks the larger boxes into and he puts the key in your mail slot. I would hate to see anyone change their plans of what they want to give because the box might sit outside someones door. What do they do about other parcels they receive??? just seems kind of silly to be that concerned about something that at most would happen 3 times plus secret Santa. Lets not over regulate something that is supposed to be fun to do. I agree with all terms that need to be set for a successful swap to occur but I want to smile at the end of it too.,
