VINAE - so happy to hear you like your gifts! I made some of them before I knew you name because my time was short before we left home. So I didn't know I was going to have a my 'pine-print-sister' for my Elf. So I have to admit some of your goodies were happy accident since that's what I like to sew! And it was fun to have an Elf that I've actually met and think so much of!! Merry Christmas, my friend!!

Oh, YEAH! I was getting worried! I knew you had received the package, but you were MIA. I'm happy, happy, happy now. I am pleased to hear that the cover fits your machine since I had no idea if it would or not. Glad you liked your package.
Merry Christmas to all!

Martha, I'm so glad you are please with the gifts!! And I'm happy to know that you like the colors in the kits!! How wonderful to have a new baby to sew for..I kinda figured that you wanted the pink flannel for that new little one!
I know I sent the package extra early, but with my health issues, I was so afraid that something would come up and I would just be so devasted if I couldn't get your gifts to you in time.
I am so sad that so many haven't received their gifts..but I also don't understand why some don't just mail early...!!!

Re: OPENING DAY
This is my first Santa-Elf swap. It was so fun to do and I am so pleased with all of my gifts. My generous Santa is Debbie Forseth from Texas, my home state. (All along I thought my Santa was Maryq! Ha ha, what a joke on me.)
My Santa sent four delightful teasers: a sweet fq, a snowball wall hanging pattern, cute embroidery scissors and a fall pot holder.
My presents arrived safely cushioned in a box among many blown up balloons. Lots of huffing and puffing going on! Enclosed were:
A letter describing herself and family. (She gets lots of babies' kisses! Lucky her!)
A very professionally-made large tote bag made of the cutest blue and yellow fabrics with daisies. It is soft, but sturdy, with many inside pockets. I love it and am so impressed with her sewing skills. I'm nowhere near her level!
Two handmade Christmas potholders in green and red. One is a tree and the other a present with a bow.
Four cute and unique ornaments: a yo-yo tree decorated with buttons, a little stocking with a candy cane, a "melted" snowman in a clear plastic ball ornament....very funny....and a wooden, wire-hung sign saying "Jingle all the way." All very cute on the tree!
A set of versatile plastic templates for mini Dresden P1ates. I really hoped for these!! Thank you so much, Debbie!
A super long measuring tape that I didn't even know existed!
A box of flat, flower pins.
Two lovely fqs in orange and yellow....will work great in Dresden Plate blocks!
And last a big bag of delicious caramel chocolates! Yum...I've been enjoying every bite!
Hope I didn't leave anything out! Everyone have a merry and meaningful Christmas.
I vote Debbie the best Santa!
Mollie

Re: OPENING DAY
OH CAROLE my secret Santa, I feel so bad that you feel that I did not open my box yet... we have been unable to access the internet since thursday night and we have had our nerds on call people working on it all day yesterday and today and I was finally able to access it just now and my first order of business was to come straight here and thank you so VERY MUCH for the wonderful wonderful box of gifts you made and sent. If and when I can I will try to upload a photo of it all. I haven't had a lot of success in doing that.
Just so you know I sat here until 5 min after midnight pacific time and opened my box then. So I was one very excited lady when I saw
1. a spectacular and beautiful snowman wall hanging all quilted by Carole just for me ( I collect snowman things)
2. a mat that looks like a gift box also quilted by Carole
3. a beautiful stocking with poinsettias and victorian santas all over
4. 2 crocheted or knit hot mitts or dish cloths ( not sure which my abilities in this area are zero)
5. a flower shaped pin cushion
6. 2 fat quarters -- one asian and the other flannel with pink butterflies that I know my granddaughter will love!
7. a souvenir teaspoon from the OK Corral in Tombstone ( another collection of mine)
8. a 5x7 journal that I have decided I will use as a "gratitude" journal this year. I have so many things to be grateful for but sometimes the challenges of every day life just get me down so this will be great for that.
9. a large bag of butterscotch disks- another favorite.
10 Werthers soft carmels another favorite
11. A little pocket notebook for your purse
12 A stitch happy folder with post it notes of all different shapes and sizes.
I truly feel blessed by all you sent and I appreciate so much all the work that went into the wall hanging and other things you made for me. Thank you Carole and I wish you and your family a truly blessed Christmas season.
Your elf, Beth

Re: OPENING DAY
Well, I got busy yesterday and didn't remember to open my gift! So I opened it this morning after church.
Thank you to Vicky aka Momof6quilts.
The card was so cute and I love all the goodies.
The stocking is soooooo cute, too. I love it! I am hanging it over the fireplace.
I have a new quilt pattern and some fat quarters. The pattern is Orion's Star with no "Y" seams. How did you know I really don't like making "Y" seams?
I can sip plenty of coffee and tea while sitting and sewing. I don't remember mentioning basil but it is my NEW favorite herb. I put it on everything I can and usually buy it fresh from the grocer. I can't wait to grow the little plant you gave me. I desperately needed a planner for my purse and I use A LOT of post it notes, all the time, so I will surely use those. I just noticed the coffee stickers are scented. Won't that be fun!
I have gone through menopause so I rarely get cold but when I do, it is usually my feet so the socks will come in plenty handy. and pink is one of my favorite colors (I must have mentioned that, too).
Your gifts really brightened my day and they were all PERFECT! I wish you were close enough I could give you a real HUG but for now, it must be a cyber HUG.
((((((HUGS))))))
May you have a blessed Christmas!
