Has anyone heard from Jodie lately? I haven't seen her post anywhere on the forum in quite a while.

Mary I agree, to send a photo of yourselves.
I have not even started mine. I have it all in my head and I am really hoping I'll get to it. Wow, the time has really flown.

Took my self- portrait to show during "show and tell" at the Maine Modern Quilters meeting yesterday. They loved it! One lady yells out " It's you! ". I just laughed and said " that's why we call it a self-portrait ". LOL

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's portrait! Deadline is looming. Vicky, maybe it's time to update the title of your thread. Every time I look here, I think "oh, 5 months - lots of time. but then I remember you posted that several months ago!" lol!!

We have lost Jacquie and I haven't heard from Jodie. Mine is still in my brain but I'm working my fingers to the bone to get the Kim quilt done so I can get on this!!!

Re: Self Portrait challenge Finish! Pictures soon....
Here I am! I sank into a deep and terrible depression after my sister's death at the end of March, but sewing and quilting brought me back to life!!! End of year demands at school coupled with sewing and quilting classes that I really haven't had the energy for, but that have restored my happiness have been sending me to bed early and naps on weekends, so as I climbed out of my depression I just didn't keep up here or with my personal email. BUT, not only was I thinking about all of you (you are all in my daily prayers!) I was planning this quilt! One of the classes I'm in the middle of is a 3-part free-motion machine embroidery class, which I took especially to help me with my self-portrait! And, I've bought a whole bunch of fabrics that I needed to bring my ideas to life. As the special fabrics have made my self-portrait project bag bulge, and the machine embroidery has become less daunting, my excitement has been building and increasing. So, I'm definitely still planning to get this done on time. But, I'll probably get it done near the deadline, as opposed to you early birds who are already done. I only have 2 more weeks of school, and then I'll be sewing away!!!

I will be finishing mine this week, sorry I've been distant but various things (mainly my depression) have really upset the applecart over here, but I just need to do a bit of quilting, bind it and then I'll take some photos
I'm sure you can get it done Vicky, you are a marvel at how you manage to fit thigns into your very busy life xx

I have pictures for Joan, Mary and Jules....
Has anybody else sent me one?
If so I may have you to send me another one as these are the ones I can find.
We are coming down to the wire, how's everyone doing?
Mine is now on paper (Not at all like I was going to do when this project started!!!) and the fabric is on the line drying before I start the applique.

Let me know about if anyone else sent one to me and I will go searching in my computer....
