Applique Cup Cakes closed sent

Hello everyone, we are officially going to start tomorrow, and I am thrilled that so many of you are finished all ready and have sent your blocks, or are about to send them ect. Great Job!
Just keep me posted on progress so I know you are working on them. We still have 3 openings, If anyone is wanting to make another set and you have time, please let me know. Tell your quilter friends, maybe they will join us.
I had to make a real batch of cupcakes yesterday. This quilt is making me hungry for cupcakes. LOL. My hubby is enjoying them. I haven't made cupcakes for years!

I have all the pieces ready for pressing and stitching to the 25 (just in case we have more join) background blocks.
I have started searching for Ice cream fabric for the triangles and TOT's for sashing thinking that I will put them on point. I found a Cupcake fabric for the outside border.
This will be a present for my DD's birthday in August. She loves to make cupcakes.

I finished my Cupcakes a few days ago, just need to attach my name. Here is a photo of a few. Can't really see in photo, but what Velda hinted at, I put a little stuffing in my tops.

i'm thinking about the numbers here...
if we make the whole 25 and only have 22 swappers...
then shouldn't we just send in 22 and keep extra 3 back?
we can use the 3 extras for ourselves to 'fill in' the gaps...

Jacquie- send all 25, we may have more jump in. I would rather have enough just in case. I will send back your extra's if we don't fill up.

Teresa- make sure you put your cupcakes on square for this swap. You mentioned putting them on point, so I just wanted to make sure we are on the same page.

Shelly, the tops are not batiks. I haven't dug the container back out, but I'm pretty sure they are Fossil Fern Fabric by Benartex. Do have a batik look to them. I'm not sure if they still make this fabric line. I have a charm pack with 100 colors, all different. I used some of the lighter colors. Had this pack for a few years in my stash, just glad I put them in my small Motorhome stash!

P.S. Just did a web search and Benartex is still making this fabric. I may need to shop. ;

We are on the same page. I just meant when I sew all the blocks together I will turn them so they are on point. Makes for a bit bigger quilt
