Baby quilts project for my cousins

I will soon be a part of something very close to my heart! My cousin his wife have moved to Texas from California. They are working on opening their home to unwed mothers with no where to go. My part of the program will be to make baby quilts for the young mothers! I am so excited for them and their new venture!

Is this still going on? Many years ago I was an unwed mother and the Salvation Army took me in. Iʻd like to pay it forward by helping with this. I do easy machine piecing quilting for a hobby. How about baby items/clothes in "like new" condition. Would these be okay to send in addition to a new quilt?
