Welcome to the 6th Annual QIAD Secret Santa Swap!
Open to any and all members of QIAD Forum

First the fun:

Each member that joins will be the "SANTA" and your partner will be heretofore called "THE ELF"

Since we will have some new folks this year, let's go with a Stocking Theme. You can make any size stocking and if you'd like you can make stockings for other members of the Elf's family. Use any pattern you would like... there are several out there. Not all of the gifts need to be home made, but the stocking does...

I hate to mention a spending limit, so I'll just say keep your spending limit within your budget. And remember that we all have different budgets to work with. Be as generous and as loving as you can, and remember that the spirit of the swap in GIVING and not receiving.

Now the rules:

Sign ups are open until September 8th. That gives you 2 weeks to decide if you want in this year. You will receive your Elf's name on/about September 15th. Shortly there after I will be mailing each one of you a reminder card with your Elf's information. KEEP THIS IN A SAFE place--on the fridge, in your purse.. where ever you won't lose it! My phone and e-mail will be on the back of the card in case you need to reach me.

If you would like, you may send your Elf "Teasers" between Sept and Dec.... But it's not required.

YOU MUST MAIL BY DECEMBER 1ST!!!!! This is imparative!!! We all know that there are sometimes delays with the PO. I encourage you to use Delivery Confirmation!

OPENING DAY will be December 8th! A couple of weeks before Christmas so that your Elf may have her stocking ready to hang when Santa Arrives Christmas Eve.

Same goes here as for the Monthly Secret Pals. So read up on Teresa's rules/suggestions. COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY!!! I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep in touch with problems or issues that come up. I am starting this early enough that I know problems/issues can arise that aren't planned on..... just PLEASE keep in touch!!!!

Please check out your Elf's hints.... print them out if you'd like, tuck the list in your purse for when you head out shopping. If you would like to know something about your Elf that isn't listed at HINTS... let me know and I'll do a little research for you. Also, if you haven't updated your hints lately... be sure and go back and do that.. just in case you've changed your mind and you really don't like purple anymore! LOL

Might not be a bad idea to sort of "clean up" your hints... defrag or whatever.... Check to see that you don't have yourself in more than once... lest people like me become easily confused and so that you're real hints are easier to find. There are 2 HINTS topics out there.. one for SP and one called "Elves Hints" Check out both places.
