Teresa I have another newbee QT in the directions it says to attach your name and the name of the block you have chosen to the "FRONT" CORNER of each block. Is this on a peace of paper or do we do it on fabric with a permanent marker? Martha

Jo - Thank you so much for your willingness to step in. I will keep you up to date if anyone needs to back out as life happenings do come along and I don't want anyone to feel so stressed that they don't enjoy making their blocks. ENJOY making your Tie Quilt. You are such a blessing to make one for him.

Checkers Mary - That is an adorable block. I love it!!! All I ask is that you do not use black for the background color :) :) Hope that doesn't stop you from making it :) :)

Vinae - I think :) , well maybe think :) , very carefully think :) , metallics are ok in small amounts so that they don't overpower the block or the quilt. I have seen metalics that are heavy handed so use your judgement and enjoy :)

**************
OMGoodness Martha - Thank you sew much for asking that question. I looked at the directions and realized I didn't say that very well so I re-worded it.
For me ... I used the WORD PROGRAM and printed out my name and address on a piece of paper in columns.
* I cut out each one and stitched it to the corner of the block on the front making sure the ink is totally dry.
* Place ALL the blocks in a large Plastic Bag to protect from Wet traveling.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK - THERE IS NEVER A DUMB QUESTIONS EXCEPT FOR THE ONE NOT ASKED :) :)

We are at 21 blocks - Yea!!!!! Let the festivities BEGIN!!!! Hope you post a picture of your block for the anticipation to start.

My deepest apologies to all of you for putting you into a whirlwind of feelings and unsure patterns and so forth... I some how injured my leg a few weeks ago at my son in laws graduation when I fell out of a wheelchair being pushed down an extremely steep ramp, at the time there was no pain and all went on as usual then over the next 10 days my leg just started getting pain and more pain and the doctor put me on narcotic pain killers over the phone from the symptoms I told him and unfortunately things have not gotten any better but only more painful so we are going to go have all the tests we need to take...I was in an emotional, physical etc bad mood when I wrote Teresa and just said take me off the list... but I have calmed down and hopefully I will be able to get the new pattern I found done with no problem. Thank you for your tolerance and patience of me.

Beth - It was a whirlwind but part of that was me. I should have waited till the light of day and then gotten with you again. But all is good as far as the swap goes. Now we are sending you and the doctors prayers that the tests will show you what is wrong and that they give you better meds to take care of it quickly and safely. Pain sucks! I know that all to well so please know you are definitely not alone. Sending HUGE HUGS!!!!

I forgot to mention (which Sandy so kindly reminded me this morning -Thank you!!)
*** That sticky mailing labels will work as well. Still put them in the upper corner of the block so I can see your name when I organize the blocks as not all your blocks will be the same fabrics.

The main thing is that nothing will be permanent. The label will come off.
HUGS!!!!

Teresa- I am good with making extra blocks, too. I have fabric with just a bit of metallic, on it like the ones shown by others in the thread so far. So if that is ok, then I will use some, if not that is ok, I will just use the other fabrics.

Sonya- Love your candle blocks.

Traci - Great choice of block ... BUT ... can you please take a look at Maryq's Flying Geese block to see if it is the same. :) :) :)

Sonya - Love your block and my choice would be the white on white background!! Beautiful!!!! Feel free to use the blue if it is minimal in glitter. That's OK. LOVE IT!!!!

I really like the brown windowsill with everything else from the WOW block :) :)
How do you think your candle would look in a window box????
Just a thought :)

The SnowGlobe Block I made last year - that you all love - is sitting in a window box BUT this time I think I will be using different colors. The same color for one block instead of one color for the left side and one color for the bottom of the block. More like a TOT window color. I might also make them using 2" strips instead of 2.5".
Can you tell I haven't made one yet - LOL!!!!
I found a picture but you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.
