TERESA & JACQUIE......Thank you for the segment measurements Ladies, I have 4 made, 2 at 11 1/2 and 2 at 13. For some reason my WOW strips are measureing 2 1/2 finished. Maybe "frogging" down to 2 1/4 will help with the 13 inch blocks. I wonder what Maryq's final measurement is for the WOW. They really need to be the same so they will match up for the winner to sew together.

Boy, all of you are so right....El has definitely spoiled us with her precise directions/measurements. However, we should be able to do these blocks, they really are basic.

Thanks again............

Linda

Linda - Your 11 1/2" block? What was the measurement of the block before you added the last corner combination WOW triangle? It might be there that you lost a bit.

Jo - I am sooooooo envious of you - A class with El - How FABulous!! I look forward to hearing all about it!! PICTURES REQUIRED - Grin :)

Stay Strong Everyone!! You can do it !!!!

TERESA....You are right, on my 11 1/2 block, the center before the WOW is only 7 inches. I had all my fabric cut out for 2 blocks of the pinwheel and Fool's block. I must have used the wrong stack for the center, as it is only 5 inches. I'll use that one for a tote panel. However, my WOW strips all measure 2 1/2 inches, for some reason, and I can unstitch and cut them down to 2 1/4 so they will match.

Today I will try the Fool's block........ after I cut more pieces. LOL

OH How FABulous!!!! Lots of Regulars, many from the past that took a break and some Newbies!!!!! WooHoo - Happy Dance!!!

Pals - Remember - the instructions for the Fool's Square and the Crown of Thorns can be found in the Quilters Cache link. I like there instructions as well ... If you go there for the Crown of Thorns - Please remember to make the center block ALL ONE PIECE - Please :) :) I think it looks nicer that way. That and I love the look of the purple (color of royalty) as well. I think I have a nice medium batik fabric for the purple :)

There are lots of great pictures on Pages 2 and sometimes page 3 of these blocks that give you a better understanding of the written instructions. For me I am suuuuuuuuuch a "visual" person. I need pictures to go with the instructions - LOL!

Linda - Sew glad you were able to see where you went astray :) I new you could do it. Your blocks are always FABulous!!!

The Trick is to measure, measure and then measure again :) :)

Thanks Eleanor for being such a GREAT TEACHER!!!!!! You are sew rubbing off on me :)

You all are doing GREAT!!!!

WELCOME - Vicky and Tina!!!

OOOh, that's a bit blurry. Guess I need practice with holding the phone still!

Question: after you sew the corners onto the pinwheel, what should the block measure? Mine measured 9 inches.
