Jules love the fabrics you chose. Very different. Great blocks.

Jules I love those fabrics. I am not usually a fan of bright, light, fabrics but I love these. Where did you get them? I hope they are available here in Ohio. I would really like to have some. Keep up the good work. The blocks are great. I am going to work on some today. The weather outside is too "crappy" to go anywhere.

sherry I really don't know if you have the fabrics over there, I got them from a little fabric shop that goes to all the local shows, they were cheap as I got the last of them so not sure how long they had had them before they went on sale :) I'm sure you could find something similar :)

Jules, What pretty fabric for these blocks. Looks so diff from the ones done in solids or darker tones. I think your quilt will look like an old fashioned flower garden or botanical garden with flower beds in various designs and white white walkways meandering thru-out. Lovely vision.

Isn't it wonderful how we can make the same pattern in a quilt and they all come out so unique and beautiful just due to the diff fabrics we chose. Everyone is doing such delightful little blocks in this category. I check it every day just to see what you all have done lately. Fascinating postings. Love the pics.

Thanks girls for all of you sharing your personl accomplishments. I laugh at some of your problems but you all seem to be able to handle it with bottle in hand. HMMMMMMM. Maybe I would get more done if I found me a bottle but not ready to tackle any DJ yet. I, too, would only do the "easy ones" if there is such a thing. I like simple and easy. LOL

Keep on churning out these delightful little blocks for all to see. Hugs to all the brave DJ workers. Bless your hearts and raise that bottle high. Hugs and Cheers, Shirley Mae

Janiacs: I have 14 DJ blocks done now. I am mostly just doing a scattering of applique DJ blocks like B12, C9, E1 and enjoying my attempts at learning how to applique. I do not work fast; only manage a couple blocks per month. But I am enjoying the journey. I usually do my applique when I get together with other ladies who sew and quilt or applique. It makes the process so much more fun.

JULES: your 6 blocks are lovely. I love the fabric; it is quite charming and beautiful and romantic.

SHERRY: Congratulations on getting 2 blocks done.

PURRFECT-LADY: Congratulations on getting 80 done.

QUILTMOM: I machine-piece and foundation-piece with the machine. I applique by hand because I want to learn and I enjoy it. Do the blocks anyway you can do them; and it is the right way.

There has been a lot of activity on this thread since I last read it. I will have to come back more often. I am finishing up my Glacier Star Quilt, which is a foundation-pieced Judy Niemeyer Quilt. It has been quite a challenge. As I finish it, I should have more time for Dear Jane.

Wishing you all a Happy Dear Jane Journey.

All your blocks are sooooooooo pretty. They all look perfect. How in the world were you able to get them so nice, being so small.

hi ladies, here are the 4 recent blocks i've just finished. i chose these blocks because of them being 'applique'. i can take these to work with me to complete, they're handy to do :)
these are B8, C9, E1, F13.
