Finally finished Block A2 of the dear jane quilt and it took me a total of 7 hours foundation piecing it; but not all in one sitting. I had to keep coming back to it every hour or so and resting my neck and shoulders. If you remember, Block A2 has 40 pieces to it. This means I have 3 blocks done. More to go. I am going to do A4 next for I do not feel like attempting round circles just now like A3.

I am accepting the fact that I have to work in piece-meal fashion; doing just so much then attending to duties in the house or with the family. After all, we have to eat sometimes.

Wishing you a delightful day sewing. God bless.

i could email you a list if you like. it's the one i'm using from another forum... it's a mixture so you aren't doing all hard at once, you kind of get eased into it...

I started out doing the applique and the easiest pieced first, just to get my feet wet. Of course, now that's left me with all the hard ones! I was hoping as I got into it, the hard ones wouldn't seem so hard anymore! lol!

At the Pacific West quilt show last weekend I saw a mini-Dear Jane. The quilt was 24" square. The blocks were about 2-1/2" square. There were 49 blocks (7x7), and it did have the triangle blocks in the border. It truly was amazing! I'll see if I can find a picture to post. I know I took one.

That is very nice. Those blocks must be very small. Lori
