I want to make either a rosebud block or a nosegay block to look like Christmas Cactus blooms... (At least that's today's thought...) I might change my mind and pick a star... THANKS CHRISS!!!!

Jana - I love that Star but i also love the fabric. Can you tell me the name of it. Seems to me I remember that you can go into EQ7 and it will tell you. Yes?
I love the Irish Plaid from Quilters Cache in greens and red. I looks like a package with ribbons wrapped around it. Oooooooo but I could always change my mind also LOL It's a long ways away and I do not want to hurry time. I'm not getting any younger.

Teresa -
Sarah just pulled a red from EQ7 when she was designing it - I have no idea what the fabric is - but I will ask her -if she did pull a fabric with a name -
We are using that star in my States block quilt with the sashing and borders - even have a quilt drawn up in EQ7 that we use it as a alternate block with my Utah block - she wants me to make it and enter it in the Utah State Fair - hummm - we will see - maybe in a couple of years!

I guess I'm confused on what constitutes 'novelty' in Christmas fabric. Christmas IS novelty! are you saying half of our participants don't want fabric with things like little stockings, reindeer, snowmen, snowflakes, holly, Santas, etc? Isn't that what makes it Christmas fabric?

Good question Maryz.....I was hoping someone would ask, as I am not sure what everyone means by "novelty".
Also, are we going to have a consensus on the color scheme, or is it "anything goes"? Normally, I am a traditionalist--red, green, gold; however, I have really come to love the blues, silvers, whites, so I will be happy either way.
I definitely would go with a white background.
My two cents worth!
