I am so happy to read everyone has their blocks. aren't they fun!! thanks everyone and chriss for keeping everyone and everything going.

i've gone over some ideas, but noting is popping. i haven't had a chance to lay them out and work with them. i did discover that on Friday days we can go to our local quilt shop and use the classroom to lay things our or do whatever we want that needs big space. so when i get so i can do some things, I'll go down there with different fabrics for sashing and borders, etc. so nice of the LQS to let us use the classroom, it is a nice large one and only about 8 minutes from my house.

right now i'm tryng to comes to grips and settle myself into acceptance of my kitties cancer, my brother's hospitalization with bi-polar disorder that resulted in an attempted suicide almost a year ago and he still has some plastic surgeries to undergo; we're praying that he can eat after the next one. right now he is over an hour away; but we hope to get him placed nearer in not too distant future. My beloved Peanut will get to join all of St. Francis' animal friends tomorrow and hopefully will have much peace and comfort; and here's a good one: my care tire was ripped on the inside by one of the car springs. anybody heard of such a things? thank God i wasn't driving because the car wouldn't move when we tried to drive it without realizing the tire was flat. it has been at the garage this entire week and we haven't heard a word and haven't had it to call and get the probably bad news. we're just hoping it can be fixed and that something really major didn't happen to it.

i was going to use a new ruler i got for borders, but that just will take so much away from the gorgeous blocks. I really like the idea somebody mentioned about on point blocks. they are really easy; there are charts--i have to find them in my sewing room--for the side and corner triangles. you could use sashing with the on point blocks but i don't think it's needed and will allow the blocks to not be separated from each other. I'll have to get out my colored pencils, also and see what i can come up with. of course, if I new how to use it, i could use EQ7. believe it or not i took a webinar on using it, basically because i got a good price on the software if i took the webinar, and the savings was worth listening. but the webinar was not very helpful. another thing to spend time learning--the best way is using the tutorials with the software and practicing. oh well.
however the quilt comes out it will be a precious one.

I also might try to make a grid with info on each block and print it onto fabric. i just have to read up on how to do that. you guessed it, i do have a printer and bought the "fabric paper" last year. lol

love ya all, have a blessed Easter and all the sewing you can handle.

hugs, carol/kittyquilt

I agree with everyone, it was an enjoyable swap and everyone worked very hard to make it so. Thank you Chriss for hosting this, and I would definitely participate in another one in the future, when you decide to do it.

Lets all remember to post pictures of them when they are done (do I can copy someone and not have to come up with my own idea - LOL - just kidding, I do have a couple ideas)

Yes me too - if you will have me! I have an idea - how about a Christmas block of some sort?

Mary - do be careful - who will stack the wood at your house if you need 9-1-1!
