Theresa, thanks for the pic. it's good to see a picture of them together. I rather like no sashing, but I think that may lose some of the block. I'm thinking of WOW, maybe 1 - 1 1/2 inches. I have a light blue with white stars, but I think that's too much for the sashing. And the border plan I had will just take too much away from the blocks, so scratch that--save for another quilt--.

Irishgram, I'll talk to my blocks and see if they have any insider info on yours. If so, I'll let you know. They have been resting most of the time, they said they were really tired from the long trips. So, i'm letting them rest a bit more before i put them on the wall.

thanks to everyone for the beautiful blocks................hugs, carol/kittyquilt

Kathy and I did some tracking and my package is now in Warrendale, Pa and will probably get to my PO, either tomorrow or Wed. They aren't lost, just taking the scenic route.....

Wow, Jules, you are batting a thousand today. First you get quilt day all day, and then to come home to find the noisy blocks just waiting for you to let them out to play. Great!!!!!

I was playing around with mine last night as they were still on the living room floor - LOL - DH still has to walk around them.

I put the 4 dark ones in the corners and then laid them all on some black fabric leaving about 2" in between each block. I was amazed at how each block stood out.

So that is how I plan to finish mine with a red, white and blue piano key for a border to bring it all back into the center.

Ooooo can't wait but I have a couple of things to do first.

teresa...thats why i chose the dark navy(almost black) blue...it does really make the blocks stand out. going to joanns later in week to check the shades of darkest blue! and im still planning on the RWB piano key border too. cant believe im actually working on this...while im searching for my ivory kona for the maple leaf blocks! lol. marcia
