Wow - you have all gotten a jump on me! I had to finish my samples for the 2 classes I'm teaching before starting these.

Then, due to snow in New England, my sister, her son and his g/f flew down a day early - they leave tomorrow for a cruise. So, now I can get started cutting fabric. I KNOW I have blue, not sure on red... definately need to purchase white. I don't have anything heavy enough. All too lightweight.

when do we mail them in??!!! LOL!!

I did two more blocks this morning, so now all 20 are completed. As things go, this will probably insure that only 19 will be in this swap! lol! But they are ready to mail as soon as I get them packed up. I'm thinking now of what to use for sashing and borders when these blocks come back. Some nice patriotic prints should be out by then.

JAQUIE, I thought of that, but decided to just get them out of the way now. I figure then I'll forget about them as I get absorbed in another project(s) and it will be a nice surprise come April. I've got a lot of faults, but procrastination has never been one of them! lol!

Chriss - Kyna is starting her next semester in school this week and is up to he eyeballs in books - she made the Dean's List last semester and thought that she was slacking with only 4 A's and 1 B - so she is trying harder to make them all A's - silly child I told her! We love her either way! So she isn't sewing anything unless Stu needs a button nd she may even make him sew it on!

Ok, Chriss, my blocks are now in the capable hands of the USPS. I mailed them this afternoon. I sent 20 because I just know someone is going to fill up that last available spot. Now all I have to do is sit back and wait for April!

well, I was supposed to be cleaning and organizing my sewing room yesterday, but I had the fabric for these blocks on the cutting table. So, I got some of it organized (maybe about 1/2 which I thought was a good day) and then the fabric started calling me and the sewing machine began crying because I wasn't using it, so I quit cleaning and worked on my blocks. Got 4 done, so I am on a roll. I, too, want to get them done while I am thinking of it, otherwise, it will be time, and I won't be ready.

Jo... it sounds like it's very noisy in your sewing room......you make sure you tame those blocks before sending them to me... I don't need all that racket around here...lol... I am so glad that Illinois will be in the mix....
