Cindy, welcome aboard! Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we do as many blocks as people who signed up. With you that makes 15 so far. With a limit of 20. There's room for 5 more signer-uppers.

I just finished my 6th block. If I'd quit sewing them WRONG, I'd make better time!

Jo..your fabric will be fine as long as it's red, white and blue.... I am so glad you are doing Illinois... I wanted an Ill. block in my quilt...

Cindy... so far you need to make 16... unless we find more people to join in..... but the max will be 20.

Maryz... looks like I will need to make up some more blocks... I think I was at 14.. guess I will just make 20....

if anyone wants to send their blocks early just pm me and I will give you my address... I have room to store them till the swap is over...as soon as I have everyones blocks I will do the sorting and sending...

this is fun... does anyone else have a picture of their blocks to post?

Chriss -

Since the only two Utah blocks I have found are UGLY - can I make an original one that I can call Utah - it would be representive of Utah - I have Kyna helping me design a block - if that is OK?

LOL - I was just kidding when I said I was doing the No Name block as I was indisicive about what state to do.

I am really doing "The Old Red and Blue" from the Quilters Cache. It looks like a block that will fit right in.

Jana, how great that you are inventing your own block! I think that's how all the "already existing" blocks got invented. And I looked at the Utah block on quilterscache. I'd make my own, too!

I've been working along on mine again today and have run out of the fabrics I was using and am now deciding that some of my blocks will be termed "scrappy" as I begin to work in other fabrics. I'm sure you will love them. >^+^<

I know we have a long time until our deadline, but if I put them aside, I may never unearth them again! So I keep plugging along.

Hmmmm - I might agree with you if all your blocks were in one quilt BUT as each block is going to a different lady then I am thinking that it would NOT be scrappy.... What do you think?

This sounds like a lot of fun so if it's ok I'd love to sign up for this. I'll be doing the "Star of Virginia" block from quilterscache.com
