Baby Lock Symphony

I bought a Symphony a few months ago and I really love it. I don't like a problem I have recently discovered about this machine. It will not sew in reverse on most stitches. I thought there was something wrong with it and took it in to the local dealer. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. This machine will only sew in reverse on three stitches, two straight and one zig zag. Anyone else have a problem with this? I am considering giving it up because of this. I feel like the reverse function should be basic to any machine.
