11. My pets: I have a beautiful Parakeet Bluebell who is white with some blue on her. She is about 11 years old as near as i can figure.

13. ALLERGY ALERTS: No perfumes or candles. I get lots of migraines from them anymore. I have a couple of fragrances that I can use and keep them on hand.

14. My little wish list; to have more time to sew and quilt and looking forward to retiring.

15. Some tidbits of info about me: I am married (to my third husband who is 61) and have two grown kids Leanna (38) and Josh (31) and a new daughter in law Amy (24) and three grandkids, Rebeccah, age 19, Zach age 12, Alexis age 12 and another granddaughter Ellabelle who was born June 22nd.

13. ALLERGY ALERTS: im allergic to milk protein (casein or whey)...so nothing w any dairy in it ive become adept at modifying recipes using soy products as milk substitutes!

Some tidbits of info about me: single mom w 2 grown daughters, 29 and 23. no grandkids yet but a wonderful godchild (3yo son of my best friend) who is the love of my life! ive been an RN for 35+ years. i love to travel but my trips are usually working trips... medical mission trips. ive been to bethlehem, palestine and hope to return in nov 2011. my great grandma from austria-hungary originally taught me how to piece quilts when i was very young. took my first official sewing class the summer i turned 10. got my very own machine while i was a nursing student. started exploring quilting 'again' when my oldest daughter was in scouts and the girls learned how to make a baby quilt. i just wish i was able toretire and spend a lot more time at my cutting table and sewing machine!

colors i dont like are blacks,navy are any very dark colors as i have a eye problem and can not see to sew them very good
favorite style and fabric style im not to choosy on that most all are ok
i like any quilting pattern just not to complicated
i do some applique mostly by machine have done a little by hand
i machine quilt my projects i have only had one quilted by longarm quilter
i dont eat to much candy but i like divinity
favorite hobby is quilting of course enjoy quilting magazines and books also like to grow flowers and vegetables as my health will permitt me to do
i have a welsh terrier dog that came from a rescue her name is goldie she is 3 years old and we just got a new yorky mix from the humane society today havent named her yet she is 1 year old as you can tell i love animals
i like to collect anything pertaining to sewing or quilting
i also enjoy collecting things with frogs on it
i have no real allergies except strong smelling perfume some times cigarette smoke bothers me if im in small room
my wish list is to have more fabric kits that are already cut and ready to sew more time to quilt and better eye sight so i dont ask for much i also like stencils that are great for borders i use a pounce pad when ever possible i can see to quilt those lines better i have never really found a marking pencil thats dark enough for me to see clearly ( again my sight problem)would love to have some of the old timey white petunia seed (like your grandmother probably had in her yard )
i live in a small rural town in alabama with dh and dog we have 2 kids 4 grandkids we like to travel in our rv also enjoy going to paducah every year in april i am a self taught quilter ive learned all i know from watching qiad and fons and porter tv shows and from buying lots of quilting magazines and books i took 1 of els classes in paducah is the only class ive ever had ive also learned a lot from this forum and asking friends on here questions i did not know answers to i really like anything my secret santa wants to send me just please tell me a little something about you as i love learning more about my friends

3. Colors I don't like: how could I not like any fabric?? I don't have much of kids prints, because I don't have many small/younger kids around

4. My favorite Style(s) of fabric: I tend to be a Moda girl. Now, that's not to say I only like Moda, but 9 times out of 10, if I like a fabric, it will be a Moda. I do like Fairy Frost!! And, batiks are catching my eye these days!

5. Fabric style(s) I don't like: none.. not really! Not crazy about big prints, but that only makes it a challenge for me!

6. Quilt pattern I would like to have: I have most of El's books... I don't have a bargello book, though!

I'm married for the second time around to my soulmate, and have a 21 y/o daughter who is in her final semester of college and doing great!! Double major and deans list - that's my girl!!

Hubby and I are residing in my parent's spare room right now... Mom has a slow growing lung cancer that is terminal, and Dad is .... well, spends a lot of time with her. Quilting keeps me sane!!!

Some tidbits of info about me: I was a factory seamstress for a decade, then had my own business of sewing from home for years, doing weddings, home interiors, quilts, clothing and just about anything anyone wanted. Disabled now, just quilt a little when I feel well. I love the mountains and go to the family cabin in the good weather months. I have 2 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 4 grand kids.
