I just finished my first "practice" block and you're right, there are alot of points to match. I should've read the directions a little clearer, to get the right size. Oh well, this will make a nice Christmas pothohlder. I'll tackle them again tomorrow.

Please remember to send all of your blocks and a postage-paid return envelope to me by November 1st. Please include 10 of each, and I will return yours to you, this makes it easier for me when I'm sorting.

Fabric is ironed, I'm headed in there to slice it up.

Got all my fabric cut and some of the smaller blocks sewn and squared up. I figured if I could get them close to put together, then I could just sit and sew and work on my "secretary spread" without having to keep getting up and down. I have a whole day off on the 11th of October, so I plan on finishing them up and getting them ready to mail on that day. Can't wait to see them all.

Worked on my Christmas Star this weekend. Cut out the sets and squared them up.
Put one together - very pretty,

Done???????????????? I made one practice block and when measuring, found out that I had cut the blocks 1" smaller than I was supposed to. Thank goodness I had only cut up a little of the fabric, I still have more of it to use for the "right" size. lol

Hopefully I'll get in some sewing time next week and can start gettinig them done.
