I haven't read it too recent, but the book "Rocket Boys" by Homer Hickam is a great book. Many people will know his story from the movie adaptation of it, "October Sky".

The Union Quilter is coming out in February, It is the next installment in the Elm Creek Quilter series. I am going to a book signing by Jennifer Chiaverini, author of the Elm Creek Quilters. Cannot wait for that in April/

I just read Family Driven Faith by Voddie Bauchman, this book covers the father rule in leading his family in spiritual matters, VERY good book. Now I'm reading a book written by his daughter Jasmine called Joyfully at Home. It is written to girls between graduating high school and getting married age. I bought this book for my daughter Emily as this is where she is at right now and I thought it may help her answer "THE QUESTION" which is what are you going to do now that you are graduated. Both of these books are very good, now I can't say I agree with everything in them but I read these kinds of books and gleen what I can and leave the rest, there's a LOT to gleen here :-)

I am also rereading though the Bible this year. What can I say about that well it's the greatest book on earth...

I just finished reading "Ghost in Trouble" by Carolyn Hart. She wrote a whole series of "Death on Demand" books and now has started a new storyline with a new character named "Bailey Ruth"...who has died and gone to heaven..the three newest books are about her being sent back to her home town as an emmisary for heaven to help people..and ends up solving murders. The books are "cozy" mystery...no blood or guts stuff..and light hearted fun.
I loved reading the "Death on Demand" books by Carolyn...and I love these new ones even more!

Joanne, that book sounds interesting...

I am reading a Earlene Fowler book which is also a cozy mystery...it's ok... I was reading the books about the group of quilters but lost track when I caught up with the author.. same with the Janet Evanovich and the Stephanie Plum books...and I don't remember which was the last one I read...I have a lot of the cat mysteries taht I got at a garage sale and might start on them next.

Chriss, there are three of the "ghost" books and they are all fairly new, so you probably won't be able to find them yet in the half-priced book stores...but our library (which is small)has them, so try the library..Carolyn Hart is a good author.I've read them all.

I've read the Evanovich books too...and liked..read all those, too! Earlene Fowler was ok...not my favorite, but when I can't find another, I'll read her books.

I really enjoyed the cat books! There are a ton of those and they are great!

I just read a third book by Donna Ball. All three books are about three friends who have bought an old house in Virginia..with land. It is a fun series!
"A Year on Ladybug Farm", "At Home on Ladybug Farm" and "Love Letters from Ladybug Farm".

If anyone reads them, let me know what you think! I loved them!
