got my pattern today... I don't see my self making this one...

I would be thrilled to see a brand new not already in a Quilt in a Day book pattern... it seems that a lot if not most of these are repeats from blocks in QIAD books...

maybe next months pattern will dazzle me...

Chriss, I know what you mean--I don't really care for this one either and wouldn't make it if I wasn't attending in person--decided to cut 1 1/2" strips off my 30s fabrics for this one, couldn't see spending the $$s for a honey bun........I'm sure there's a baby out there who will love it!

chris and Sally, can't come to like this May pattern. I had bought a honey bun on sale and thought it would be pretty to use, but not on this pattern. so, I'm just not going to make this one. I'll try to get April stars finished and maybe June pattern will be a NEW one.

Yes I agree, and I didn't much care for Feb either (except the extra from the triangles)--hope we get a new and yummy one next month. sorry there's others out there not enthralled by this one (and a few others)--course If I'd made my Jan. extra one like Joanne's, I'd have Loved it!! (I do believe this is the year I'll do mostly 30s--okay, and a wee bit with 1800s and batiks--can't just ignore all my batiks!
Cutting the 1 1/2" strips I found out I have 85 yards or 1/2 yards of diff 30s [mostly full yards, must have got them from Frenzy!], and that doesn't count all the fats. Oh dear...)
I need to take pis of my April ones--used 2 turn-overs (so it's 6 blocks by 8 blocks) of 1800s (Kansas Winter) and used new 100% cotton jacquard (shiny) in deep red and forest green with whilte background that had some metallic gold--think Christmas here!

Here is my May project. It is a 30 x 30 toddlers blanket or could be a changing mat for a baby. Connecting Threads has a free pattern, Celestial Spirals, like this pattern that I have been wanting to try, but the directions were so confusing. So I wanted to give this one a try, so now I can possibly make it up. Very similar to the Log Cabin. Now on to my fish block.
